Also if you use a second account you cannot use SaveCloud for the main user for that save.
You would need a fitting one for that user.

And talking about save cloud.
If they don't bar it, you already have a second save set, so it is already possible, meaning their reasoning is false.

If you have cash to burn you could sync multiple saves across multiple switches ( I actually did this with TLOZ:EoW...)

But honestly the protags from BBS drag their feet until III

RE:COM is.. if you need it.
KHI has terribad controls.

So I'd say play 358/2 and II, then decide if you like it
358/2 is related to one moment in I, but it stands on its own.
