Cor, this Annapurna Interactive Showcase today was full of bangers. We're not used to so many Switch announcements!
One of those bangers is The Pathless, a gorgeous bird-friend simulator in which you play as The Hunter, an archer who teams up with their eagle companion to attempt to save the world through swooshy traversal and fluid bow-and-arrow work.
It's flippin' gorgeous, too, with design from Journey and Abzu art director Matt Nava:
Also, if you're a Troy Baker fan, he's the bad guy in this game. Laura Bailey, AKA Rise from Persona 4, Abby from The Last of Us 2, and Catherine in, uh, Catherine, plays The Hunter.
The Pathless will be on the Nintendo Switch this Winter.

This looks cool. Dig me some atmospheric games. As long as they don't kill the damn bird.
After the brilliance of Abzu, why not give another game a go? The Pathless looks to be worth playing.
Looks beautiful and abzu was an absolutely lovely game, so I'm definitely interested.
I found abzu slow but my wifed loved it. This looks a lot more up my alley hot dang
Whoa, this looks sooo awesome!
Haven't played this, but a friend of mine said it has their favorite movement system out of any game they've played recently, so I'll probably give it a shot.
I have it on PS4 and it is definitely worth playing.
Nice. Now I can continue my journey to play every game related to Journey except for Journey. ABZU was a really cool one-off experience, and I just started messing around with Sky again while waiting for Xenoblade to come out.
This was wonderful. Like a mini Breath of the Wild. Great puzzles and loads of atmosphere.
So glad more people will get to experience this!
haha, this is going to run sooo poor on switch...I buy most of my games on the switch but this is a game I wouldn't want to play on it
Abzu is fantastic. A short but sweet experience you can finish in one sitting that doesn't outstay its welcome and has some breathtaking moments and a great soundtrack. Hopefully this will be similar
