As you might recall, the Ace Attorney series is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. Yep, it's been a whole 20 years since the series originally made its Japanese debut on the Game Boy Advance in 2001.
It's still going strong 20 years later, and to pay respect to the series, a special 20th anniversary orchestral concert will be live-streamed later this week on the 7th of May. Tickets are available from the official website but there'll also be an on-demand version made available afterward.
Ahead of the event, Capcom has released a full tracklist of the songs that will be played:
- Phoenix Wright - Objection!
- Apollo Justice - A New Era Begins!
- Ace Attorney Investigations Suite - A Grand Legacy
- Godot - The Fragrance of Darkness; That is Coffee
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy - Courtroom Suite
- Ace Attorney Series - Charmingly Captivating Suite
- Ace Attorney Series - Revolutions and Successors Suite
- The Great Ace Attorney Suite
- The Great Ace Attorney - Great Trials of Resolve Suite
- Trials and Tribulations - Ending
As we noted in our original story, this concert is airing at 6 PM JST time and will take place in the UK at 9 AM and 1 AM PST / 4 AM EST. Is this something you think you would be interested in? Leave a comment down below.

Know it's fairly routine to tie game announcements to things like this so really hope this ends up in AA4-6 finally getting HD ports.
@Lizuka bruh.
I WANT SOME ACE ATTORNEY GAME NEWS.
Whether it is the new trilogy or maybe a AA7 or maybe a new Great Ace Attorney game, I want to see it.
@anoyonmus I definitely want either the second trilogy ported or AA7 (or preferably both), though honestly I think if they did a Great Ace Attorney 3 I would take my time on getting it and do so while it was on sale. Probably pick it up on sale but I thought the first GAA might've been the weakest game in the series (I'd need to play Investigations again to be sure on that assessment) and while 2's a lot better it's still not really a favorite. Kind of just don't like that subseries as much as the main one.
@Fizza It’s your calling!
There's an Ace Attorney article on NL, and no Kate Gray. I hope she's ok. 😁
(No offense to Liam. I'm just messing around.)
@Liam_Doolan: "As you might recall, the Ace Attorney series is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. Yep, it's been a whole 20 years since the series originally made its Japanese debut on the Game Boy Advance in 2002."
Huh? While I'm aware Capcom is still celebrating the series' 20th anniversary this year, I thought the first game's original release was in 2001, not 2002.
@Coolmusic It was late 2001. Lot of series do year-long celebrations for stuff like this, offhand Persona's doing that right now itself and Danganronpa did.
@Lizuka: True, I know that. Just thought it was a bit odd to specifically say 2002.
On-topic, I hope for the AA7 announcement near or at the end of the concert, or any major AA news really.
It’s been long overdue to get an actual new AA game for Switch
@Coolmusic Typo! The first GBA release was 2001 in Japan.
@WoomyNNYes Ha, all good - Kate is away until next week, I think.
@Liam_Doolan: Oh, alright then.👍
There’s music in Ace Attorney??? I think I’ve only ever played with the sound off
So is this going to lead to some kind of announcement about new games or collections? These companies seem to love having announcements in such weird places.
@stipey : There's music throughout, yes. The composer(s) must have done such a great job of having the music blend in with the scene that you can't particularly remember any of it. I can only vividly remember some of the more action-packed courtroom music as opposed to anything from the investigative scenes.
I can't wait to watch this!.... as soon as I've played all the games featured so I don't get spoiled (I've barely scratched the surface of TGAA, I don't think I can listen to an orchestra of it just yet).
@moodycat That's a weird way of spelling Prisoner's Elegy.
@Silly_G Yeah, the music is so well implemented, because it's pleasant enough to enjoy, but not be distracting — I was on a 6-hour train ride playing the first game non stop and I could never get bored of it. Persona 5 has a similar balance to its sound design.
Once I'm done with Etrian Odyssey V, I'm going to return to All the Ace Attorney (and Layton in one case) the 3ds has to offer. It's been ages, but that music when the witnesses their lies start falling apart jumped up in my head as soon as I saw the image of this article. Combined with the sound effects, their expressions,... Talk about a memorable, incredible, and enjoyable rush!
