Milestone is bringing the latest entry in its MotoGP series to the Switch this year, it has been announced.
As you might expect, MotoGP 22 will be focused on the 2022 MotoGP season and will include 120 riders and 20 circuits, as well as 70 historic riders and bikes from the history of the sport.
A raft of improvements is promised, including more realistic tire deformation, improved suspension and better visuals and character animations. Split-screen local multiplayer will also feature.
The series' 'Managerial Career' mode makes a return in this entry, and a brand-new mode will allow players to relive the memorable 2009 MotoGP season, which saw Valentino Rossi claim his sixth MotoGP title after a season-long battle with his teammate Jorge Lorenzo. The game will also include a documentary on that season, narrated by Mark Neale.
MotoGP 22 is set to launch on Switch on April 1st, 2022.

Still no gameplay trailer?
Will be code in a box for physical release and release full of bugs and then get patched to a level just about playable then ditched by the developer. It's been like that since they started to get released on the Switch in 2018, I found 2019 the most playable but worst graphics. 2020 and 2021 the graphics are much better but gameplay can be terrible and lots of bugs. Maybe 2022 will be the motorbike game for Switch we finally need and deserve.
@Fairburne prior entries are fine but much better on other systems.
Splitscreen isn't coming to he switch version, according to their website anyway. Great series but just isn't viable on switch without adaptive triggers for throttle and braking
Love Moto GP, I´m in! But....i prefer Moto GP 2019 on Nintendo Switch....most stable version on nintendo switch.
Pretty confused by the focus on the 2009 season mode. Apart from a few highlights, 2009 was one of the duller MotoGP seasons on the whole. If the idea sticks around for future games, 2006 and 2015 would be wayyyyy more interesting.
It seems strange to me that there are so many riders and only 20 circuits. I have never played any of these games before and I know very little about MotoGP, but is 190 different riders in total seems like so much. Shouldn't they include more circuits instead?
April 1st? Are we sure this is not an April fools prank?
