Update [Wed 26th Jan, 2022 05:00 GMT]: And we've now got a first look via the game's Twitter account. It illustrates how you'll have to connect matching eggs on a grid to erase them. And to clear a stage, you must erase all of the eggs.
Update [Sat 22nd Jan, 2022 13:30 GMT]: This new puzzle entry in the Hatsune Miku series has now been locked in for a release next week in Japan. It'll arrive on 27th January, and in the lead up to its release - there'll be new details shared about it every day.
Original article [Fri 14th Jan, 2022 05:00 GMT]: Japanese virtual idol Hatsune Miku will soon be making a return to the Nintendo Switch in a brand new puzzle game.
It's called Hatsune Miku: Tsunageru Puzzle Tamagotori, and alongside the announcement we've got some key artwork. No other details have been announced yet, but fingers crossed it's eventually localised.
This announcement follows on from the release of Hatsune Miku Logic Paint S (a picross game) on the Switch eShop last March. One other game that's also worth a look at is the rhythm music title Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix.

Hmm, I have got to try out one of these titles essentially. Either the puzzle game or the rhythm game.
Hopefully this one gets localized
I'm a simple guy, miku = I buy
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yep I dunno what this game is about.
Neat but I never really been into puzzle games besides a few exceptions like Tetris 99 and Puzzle Dragons z.
I'll have to see what the games actually looks and plays like.
I've heard of her many times without knowing what exactly she is...a virtual celebrity..hmm alright then.
@Doofenshmirtz Same here. I have no idea what the game is but I'm already sold.
Yay, give me more Miku games on Switch. I love Logic Paint S and Project Diva Mega Mix
@UglyCasanova it's actually more complicated than that.
Some people I know call her a game character but that is not the whole story (that's not how it all began).
Google "Vocaloid" and you probably stumble upon her.
(it's easier than me writing an essay here what she actually is)
@Doofenshmirtz I am interested too but I do want to know what kind of puzzle game it will be.
@UglyCasanova Vocaloid is a singing software, a digital voice that can sing any song, and people use it to make some pretty good songs, the voices are tied to characters like Hatsune Miku who is the most famous one, but there are many other vocaloid characters.
Definitely not a Hatsune Miku fan, but the artwork alone has piqued my interest, with soft textures exemplified in the trees. Almost looks like CyGames artwork, fitting right in with Dragalia Lost. I'm a complete sucker for CyGames' art style. If I had a decent phone I would try their new pinball mobile game for the artwork alone. I wish it would release on Switch!
tamagotori, so something about eggbirds
I hope that game come to west, well, only left to wait
I don't care what the game is about, if is Hatsune Miku I will buy it!
Hello, everyone. I’m Scott, president of Domino’s Pizza. Have you heard of Hatsune Miku?
Popipopopipopipo!!
Like puzzle games
Like Miku
Simple as
If it's another hardcore puzzle game, I'll give it a go. Seeing Shovel Knight Puzzle Dungeon, I'm really hoping for me hardcore puzzle game. The puzzler fans have been hoping for more for a long time. Hopefully this is our time.
Uh.. okay.
I mean, I'm a huge Miku weeb, but this just seems like a generic puzzle game with no conneciton to Vocaloid or music whatsoever, with some Miku art slapped onto it...
I would prefer a new Miku game on PS5.
@Doofenshmirtz I see, you have my respect. Because I do, don't even know what the game is about, but I will buy it.
BAKA, BAKA, BAKA!
I have logic paint S. It's a decent Picross game, although the Miku aspect only adds a little to the game.
@Doofenshmirtz Does she even have the same VA in the same games/media, or is it all just the illustrations? I don't know anything about the Miku franchise.
@Ulysses Hatsune Miku is actually a retail product called a Vocaloid, which is a recorded vocal library that can be plugged into an audio DAW for music production. People write songs and use the vocal library for vocals. The Miku games feature these songs along with a music video made in the game's engine.
Still waiting for the previous version to have english.
@ArcticEcho Oh wow. Well that sounds like a precursor to virtual influencers
@Ulysses It's actually more like a synthesizer, really. With a recognizable face that may or may not be used to promote the musical releases, that's for the creator to decide.
Oh! So that’s what the game is!😮
Gameplay looks pretty simple based off that but I assume there's more to it as you get into it. I'll buy it either way because it's Miku.
Looks incredibly bland, I'll pass.
I've played these kind of games but never really cared to seek them out. However this has Miku so I'm 100% on board.
Yeah... doesn't look overly interesting to me. Bit disappointed.
