Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 arrived on Switch way back in 2017, and it was another indication at the time that Nintendo gamers were in line for more ports and support than in the Wii U era. It's a big game that's kept growing, and browsing its current DLC list on the eShop is a slightly dizzying experience.
The latest major arrival is Legendary DLC Pack 2, which arrives on 5th November; the flashy trailer above shows off its various goodies. There are multiple new characters and varied content included, with the official list below - it's not listed on the eShop yet but there is a 'Legendary Pack Set' that also includes its predecessor, priced at $16.99USD with regional variations.
- 3 New Missions
- 1 New Stage called the “Volcanic Wasteland”
- 4 New Playable Characters, including: Jiren (Full Power), Gogeta (DB Super), Caulifla (Super Saiyan 2) and Kale (Super Saiyan 2)
- 4 New Parallel Quests
- 10 New Skills
- 4 Super Souls
- A plethora of new costumes and accessories
The day before, on 4th November, there'll be a free update for all players that'll add some of its own goodies.
- New Raid Quests
- New Ultimate Skills
- Dual Ultimate Attacks
- Photo Mode Goodies
- More costumes and accessories
- And more!
The trailer is well worth a watch for some additional details, too. It highlights a Super Fashion Contest running over the next month, and it also confirms there'll be more DLC in 2022. It's a game that keeps on giving.

Love the game, played a lot on PS4 and Switch but I wish they would discount the DLC at somepoint, feels far too expensive to get it all. With this it's probably nearing £100
I'll be honest, the vast amount of paid DLC in dragon ball games is kind of off putting for me. There's just so much for every game I've checked on the series that has DLC and it adds up to quite a sum. It often costs more than the base game I believe. I quite enjoy dragon ball but because of that I often just don't feel like playing it and I mostly just stopped buying them. I have this game but haven't touched it in years because of it.
Yes that's entirely a me problem, I know I can just not buy it. It just bothers me, that's all.
@Yosher try buy Sims 4 with all DLCs, you will need extreme amount of money for it, so Dragon Ball games still feels buyable compared to Sims 4.
@SViper Indeed, The Sims series games are outrageously expensive. Nowadays packs are getting split, as well, meaning you're paying twice as much for what would have all been in one pack back in The Sims 1 or 2.
Now, I love The Sims 3, but it really takes the cake. To have all of the store DLC would cost so much money I can't even fathom it. And even seven years after EA moved on to The Sims 4, it all still costs the same, not discounted! I can't understand.
@Yosher This is what, honestly, has been keeping me from buying any Dragonball game no matter how much they've gone on discount. The sheer volume of non-cosmetic DLC just has me longing for a complete game, not a shell that will someday have content provided customers pay for each trickle.
@Harmonie The writing was on the wall after Sims 2, which was the last Sims game I purchased. I recently checked on the subsequent follow-ups and couldn't believe all the DLC it had. It's hard not to worry that someday every gaming company will follow that model.
One think that I didn't liked a bit is they revealed reason why we still not have first 3 Votes results and it's for new DLCs after Legendary Set meaning they revealed there will be more DLCs. While around week ago we had twitter hashtag #Xenoverse3 to raise awareness of we wanting Xenoverse 3 and it was big for around at least 24 hours, but with this announcement of more DLCs after Legendary Set that was crushed for now. Usually I don't mind more DLCs and so on, but other people already screaming for third game, so.
@SViper I'm well aware and it's a good reason why I haven't bothered with the Sims in years either. It's actually kind of disgusting. Still doesn't make Dragon ball DLC any more fun though.
@Yosher at least this DLC is bigger then any previous ones, because until now all DLCs for this game after game release gave always 2 characters and now it's giving 4.
DBZ games really need an eventual consolidated 'Complete Edition' that comes with all the DLC that trickles out for years... but no matter how long after initial release, it never comes smh.
... Wun can only hope.
Crazy to know this game has been supported for so long.
it's not that i mind it getting more dlc, it's just...couldn't they do any more exciting picks than another jiren and gogeta?
I typically wait and get the dlc packs when they go on sale and they sometimes do. Heck the base game goes on sale for 10 dollars US like all the time.
Nice to see this game getting more support. I'm fine waiting for xenoverse 3 if it ever comes. This game has load of content. I still need to do the hero coliseum
My biggest issue with this game is that there's SOOOOOOO many moves and all you have is a bit of text describing them.
Like, how the hell am I supposed to know what every single move looks like? There should be a preview button that plays a little video clip.
I don't know what a 'Tri Cutter' is or a 'Bang Bang Laser Ki' is. It's so frustrating.
That's my only issue I wish they would update.
For what they made is pay for the game no Free DLC....
I really enjoyed DB Xenoverse, but the previous DLC didn't impress me. It's only interesting if it adds one of your favourite characters.
