When it arrived on the eShop late last year it would be easy to look at a title like Chicken Police - Paint It Red and wave it away, but that'd be a mistake. As a visual novel-adventure it's rather unique and entertaining, with strong writing and a comedic take on noir detective tales. We sure did enjoy it in our review.
For those that are fans of what developer The Wild Gentlemen achieved, the good news is that it's getting its own physical retail version through publisher Handy Games. It'll cost EUR/USD 29.99 which, unfortunately, represents a $10USD 'Switch tax' compared to the PlayStation 4 and PC editions.
It launches in the US as a GameStop exclusive on 29th June, and at various retailers in Europe a little earlier on 15th June.
Are you planning to add this to your Switch collection?

I forgot about this one! Need to add it to the ever growing list.
I like the look of this. I like Chickens. I like noir. Looking forward to the reviews!
Ugh that cat head on a human body killed it for me. That's haunting 😨
@KIRO It's already been reviewed, they mention and link to it in the article...
I'm always pleased to see indie games make the jump, and this title did (does) look amusing. (Are we allowed to say "B**w me" on Nintendo Life?) I think I'm more of a "Genesis Noir" kind of furball, but a low enough retail price may tempt me.
I do need to point out that this physical treatment, however, puts other publishers to shame. The newly-localized Fire Emblem game, Grid Autosport, the half-physical Ubisoft games... I won't be interested in your "business cases" and "market research" if games like this can turn a profit at retail!
@COVIDberry I think it's just about ok... they had another trailer with worse swears.
@ThomasBW84 Hahaha, I promise not to direct those words at other commentators, then.
@ThomasBW84 Placed my preorder about a month ago when I noticed they had opened. Somebody needs to follow the physical collectors thread in the forums a little more closely.😜

@Ogbert that will teach me to not read the thing properly!
Thanks.
Very good game, I hope it will have Hungarian language.
So it’s a story game no actual gun play?
I should really stop buying games digitally. I was sure this wouldn't get a physical release.
