If you're planning on returning to the fairway this June when Mario Golf: Super Rush arrives on the Nintendo Switch, and happen to be located in Australia, then you might be interested in this cool pre-order bonus currently on offer at JB Hi-Fi.
As highlighted by Aussie Nintendo website Vooks.net, the largest home entertainment retailer in the country is handing out "an actual golf ball" to everyone who reserves a physical copy ahead of launch. There are even graphics on the front and back!
This offer is valid while stocks last and it's strictly one ball per customer. EB Games will also be offering a pre-order bonus item in the form of a keychain, but who needs another boring old keychain when you can get a real golf ball, right?
Would a Mario Golf ball be enough to make you pre-order this upcoming Nintendo Switch release? Tell us in the comments.

Gotta grab 'em all!
No influence. I'm on the fence if I'm getting Mario Golf. Also waiting for a review.
That’s honestly really cool. I have three golf courses within a 20 minute walk of my house but have never actually played it. Perhaps a Mario Golf branded golf ball is the push I need, after all we did invent the sport.
Looks nice, but who here would use it for its actual intended purpose? Be honest.
Meanwhile in the US..."All I got was the OG in-game mario skin and 80 eshop points."
@N8tiveT3ch welp. I am in the US anyway.
Sad that US won't be getting this but it looks cool though.
Imagine playing golf with that golf ball
Well, it makes sense.
That's a really cool promo. I'd love to have a Mario Golf branded ball on my desk.
I guess I am old AF, because that is actually the first promo gimmick I really would like to have.
I completely forgot this game was announced in the last major Nintendo Direct xD
Like I completely forgot this was even in existence and was coming out
seems cool but I don't think anybody would use.
Amazon uk has a water bottle with the game.
I've got a Mario golf ball somewhere, pretty sure I got it with the Gamecube game. I'll be pre ordering this anyway but hopefully it comes to the UK too. Weirdly the new Nintendo store still doesn't have an upcoming games section and even Pokemon Snap just says register your interest
JB's offering $10 off RRP plus a golf ball.
Meanwhile, EB is offering a key ring, and selling the game at full retail price.
@1UP_MARIO trouble is it’s not really a free preorder gift, I preordered months ago for £49.99, but if I want the water bottle I will have to pay £54.99. Not worth it.
@Daz1380 it really isn’t. Especially when you can get the game for 39.99
@carlos82 yeah I tried messaging them about that and they weren’t very helpful. I said I wanted to preorder NPS and they just sent me a link to the ‘register your interest’ page and said sign up there and they’ll let you know. This was last Friday, so I pointed out the game was out in 7 days and I’d already signed up to that. They told me to pre-order on the eShop. When I said I was looking for a cartridge they basically said it was down to the developer when pre-orders went live. Which is obviously a load of rubbish, developers don’t decide when individual stores get to offer pre-orders.
The game is a day one purchase for me and the highlight of the last direct, not to bothered about bonus goodies and will buy the regular edition.
@Ogbert wow that's a very odd response, especially the developer part as surely Nintendo themselves are publishing it. There are no preorders on there or even a section for them so something weird is going on. If it was me I'd have used Pokemon Snap to launch the new store and even have that printer on there
@carlos82 Yeah it makes me think they're done with pre-orders, which was about 95% of what I bought from there sadly.
But yeah I could tell initially the customer service was just copy-pasting responses from a sheet and then just made stuff up at the end because they didn't know. I hope they bring back pre-orders, especially for future amiibo.
Kind of wish this offer was available in the US, would make a really cool item to add to my collection.
Gamestop Ireland is offering a free Mario Golf water bottle. Actually looks really nice. Pre-ordered it because I was planning on getting it anyways and I got a voucher as a gift from a friend.
Edit: that's the one @1UP_MARIO
@Dethmunk I mean it’s a golf ball. It’s made to play golf with. I never understood people who don’t take things out of their box and such.
Why have we not seen a single crumb of this game since it was announced?
What a shame, I’d actually like to have that ball and put it with my golf gear. I probably wouldn’t use it unless cause I’m terrible at golf but it would be a cool showpiece, I have a few other golf balls I do that with.
@pepepopo Maybe the fact that it releases two weeks after E3 has something to do with it.
@nessisonett If you had a Miyamoto-signed pro controller would you use it?
@JimmySpades Probably yeah. It’s my controller. I tend to take care of these things while using them. It’s not like I’d sell it either.
its too bad this pre-order bonus is not available in the U.S. i want the Mario golf themed golf ball even though i do not play golf. the golf ball will just be standing on display in my apartment for people to look at it.
@Dethmunk because why wouldnt I use a badass golf ball?
