To celebrate Super Mario's 35th last year, Nintendo offered a special anniversary pin set on My Nintendo in North America and Canada. You had to complete so many missions on the site and from there you were eligible to receive your very own set.
It's now revealed all the details for the second Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary pin set (Wave 2). All you have to do is purchase Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and complete the "14 additional Mario themed missions" to be eligible.
Of course, the catch is they're available in "limited quantities", while supplies last - so if you want one, you'll have to act fast.
Nintendo is also running a My Nintendo Super Mario Bros. sweepstakes - where you can win one of several cool prize packs.
The prizes included are an F4F Mario and Yoshi statue, Super Mario LEGO, Super Mario clothing and the entire Super Mario pin set containing Wave 1 and Wave 2. Head over to My Nintendo to enter. Note: This is open to residents in US and Canada only.
Will you be trying to secure the Wave 2 pin set? Did you have any luck getting the first set? Leave a comment down below.

Screw them! They burned many of us on the first wave who did everything right and as fast as possible. They can take their second wave and stick it where the sun don't shine.
Unless you've been completing missions during November/December, this isn't an option for you anyway.
You have to complete 14 missions to get the pins, and there aren't enough still available (they have closing dates) if you are just starting now.
I did get the first set, and they are cool, and I'd love this set, but the difficulty in getting these sets is not cool.
I completed all the events ASAP for set #1 and didn't get them, so I'm not compelled to even bother for set 2.
It would had been nice if Nintendo provided additional missions beyond purchasing Super Mario 3D World/Bowser's Fury.
Even if I did all of the ones I can do, I'll would only have 12 missions completed out of the 15 required.
Pffft the scalpers probably have them in their hands already.
I was one of the lucky few that managed to get the first pin set. I refreshed the page a few hundred times and somehow got through the checkout. It’s nice and all, but I have no desire to try for wave 2. There’s no way I could get that lucky again!
I won’t have enough missions and i am not paying a scalper. Oh well.
Excluding Québec... Thanks, stupid law from our province.........
I completed the Cold Stone mission but they act like I didn't. Gonna have to pass.
Nope. Not even going to try. Nice try, again, Nintendo. I want them. But. Not worth my time.
No thanks. Did everything right the 1st time and completed goals the day they were made available. No set for me
I'm one of the guys that did get the pins but, I heard for many peopel it was plane BS and they couldn't get theres I'm not going to do it twice Later.
Was just barely one of the lucky ones to secure the first pin set so hoping to get this one too. But that doesn't excuse just how grueling it was to get that set and how many people got screwed out of even attempting to get it. Fix your darn servers, Nintendo; not like you don't have the money/resources...
Have to get these the second they go up, refreshing the page constantly after buying the game. don't ever go to sleep.... just keep refreshing. that's the only way!
I managed to get the first set.
With how fast the original ones vanished, I'm not even going to try with these.
EDIT: After looking at the available challenges, I couldn't if I wanted to. I missed too many little "sign up for X challenge and participate!" deadlines and I have no desire to buy Mario Kart: Home Circuit. Ah well.
I got the first set and even I don't believe it was worth the effort... Definitely not going for round 2.
@citizen_zane
At least you have a realistic chance yo get them.
People in the UK didnt even get an option.
Although we did have a chance to win some.
There were like 25 winners for each set of badges (theres like 5/6 different sets)
Thats to cover all UK (and EU?) fans..........obviously I didnt win any
Part of the reason I was excited to pre-order and pick up Super Mario 3D All-Stars was for the pin set, but then they ran out before I had the chance to get them. Now they're bringing out another set for a different game? I feel bamboozled.
@Northwind Weird. No problems here! It says i completed as many missions as you have.
Would've been nice if these were available worldwide, like, does Europe and LATAM not exist?
And why is everything with Nintendo in 'limited quantity' just let us buy them outright!
Used to have the Yoshi one...
My Nintendo has been a real failure when it comes to getting access to rewards.
Yeah, I am not looking forward to going through all this again, though hopefully they learned from their mistakes last time and everything will work a little more smoothly this time around. Regardless, I may not even be able to get the pins as by the time my physical pre-order arrives in the mail and they process my claim of the gold coins, it may already be too late. This happened to people with the last set.
Keep your dignity, don’t jump through any of these hoops just for the privilege of buying something. Damn, Nintendo...
This is a terrible plan that will only fuel disappointment and resentment amongst their biggest fans.
I really don't agree with the requirement to purchase a game, either.
Why is Europe excluded? We don't get half of the stuff the others can get 😔
I don't have a valid credit card to pay for shipping, so this means nothing to me
...It's impossible.
For the Wave 1 rewards, I completed the required 6 missions and missed out on the rewards. Now, you need to complete 15 missions, I have 8/20 completed, but 7 are time locked / completed...so maximum I can get is 13 of the required 15...making it impossible for me.
Lame.
Sooooooo, 75+ million units in the wild, and they're making 6 pin sets available at a time -_-
I'm still pissed off about how they handled the first wave...
@acNewUpdates LATAM has never existed. We are the nobodies
Wanna be somebodies
When were dead
They know just who we are
No thanks. I'm not putting myself through that again. I'll just wait a year or two until I can inevitably buy them secondhand for a decent price, like I did with all the old Club Nintendo rewards I missed out on the first go around. The western set has fewer pins than the Japanese set, anyway, so I'll just import. I'd honestly rather just buy the set than put all this work into a mere CHANCE to get a set for "free."
Same boat as most of you folks.
I can only get maximum 13 out of the 15 missions because the rest of the missions have expired out. Uhhh who is running this promotion?? Interns??? Like this is a class on how NOT to run a promotion/contest/marketing 101 otherwise you piss off your fan base. 🤦♂️
Reaching out to customer service for advice and will follow up if I hear anything. Not holding my breath. Lol
Not even gonna try this time
I literally called Nintendo because my MyNintendo doesn't register when I do the missions and they're like oh no you did them, so I go I did oh good, them: butttttt you still can't get the pins me: hangs up
Yes pre-ordered allready and cant wait to play Mario 3D again.
This game was amazing on wii u and now with new dlc i could not resist.
I feel like Nintendo already has me by the balls with my enthusiasm for their games, I refuse to fully submit and chase their tchotchkes too.
@Ks123 so here’s my follow up to my previous comment that applies to many of us...
There are new missions going up today so if you thought you would be short (like me), we’ll have more chances to get 15 missions completed (well, 14 missions plus buying 3D World).
The first set was a mess. I might try this one... probably not though
