Just in case you hadn't yet explored the wonderous environments of Pokémon Sword and Shield's Galar region, Nintendo's here with a brand new trailer which explores everything it has to offer.
Centring around the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra – the two areas added to the game via the DLC Expansion Pass – the video focuses on the natural landscape of these contrasting regions and the Pokémon available to see there. Oddly enough, someone's been tasked with doing their best David Attenborough impression, which we suppose is the go-to style for any video like this.
Watch, as we examine the many wonderous Pokémon that comprise the rich tapestry of the Galar region. From a diminutive cub whose stubby arms protect it from rivals, to legendary creatures nested deep within the Crown Tundra, truly, the depths of this world are a sight to behold.
Have you checked out Pokémon Sword and Shield's DLC yet? Did you think the two new areas added much to the overall experience? Let us know in the comments, and feel free to read our Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra reviews if you're yet to try them out.

This looks a great place to explore.
I haven’t booted up my copy of Shield since I beat the main story a few weeks after launch, but this nature documentary-like video actually put me in the mood to pick it up again.
Ready for them to add the remainder 200+ pokemon when DP remakes come out..😊
Would it have killed them to get a real Englishman to narrate the ad? Their pronunciation of "pass" at the end especially is just... yeah, nah, mate.
I'm also disappointed that they hadn't done more with the whole "Pokemon in Britain" thing, and the whole dojo schtick in The Isle of Armour feels completely out of place.
That said though, I would luuurrrrrve to see a future game based on Australia. Better still if I can get a job lending my voice to the accompanying anime series.
@Letzg077 or maybe at least the starters from every generation.
The starter Pokemon are the face of every generation and they at least should be available in every new installation but they are missing quite a few.
I havent played since the original release but who can resist David Attenborough's charms? Ill give it another shot this winter break.
I played the main game when it came out, and it was ok, wasn't really blown away. Is the expansion pass worth it? Is it at least a bit better or is it more of the same?
@Bl4ckb100d It is a bit better, the open areas have a lot more exploration to them and some of the dialogue is funny, though humor is subjective. There isn't much of a story and going in with a fully leveled team won't offer much resistance.
Your call, for me it was just nice seeing more wild pokemon wandering around in environments more interesting than the built-in wild area.
Thanks! I found out I already bought the pass, I just never launched the game since I finished the main story.
We honestly need more nature documentary-style stuff with Pokemon's PR. If there's any franchise to do that with, it's this one.
(I just want them to do this for Generation IX when they reveal new Pokemon for it)
This was a delightful and clever marketing spin, I enjoyed it very much! Bonus points for the punny wordplay. I'm still playing Sword more days than not, and really having a grand time with this generation. =)
