Soedesco has revealed that Truck Driver will be launching on Nintendo Switch on 17th November. A new trailer has been released to mark the occasion, which you can see for yourself above.
Truck Driver arrives both digitally and physically on the same day and has been fully optimised for Nintendo's platform. The game will support Switch's HD Rumble, touch screen, and gyro controls, and can also be played using a single Joy-Con if you prefer.
With the Nintendo Switch version of Truck Driver, players can take on the profession of a trucker wherever they go. They get to build their career and work with all kinds of people. Players will always know who they’re driving for and what cargo they’re hauling. With loads of different trailers, the quests stay versatile and challenging.
Each character in the game has their own reason for needing the help of a trucker. Along the way, players will get to know how their work will change the lives of these characters. Companies will grow and trusted relationships develop between the character and the player. Truck Driver offers players a unique view into their own trucking journey.

That crazy trucker is driving on the wrong side of the road!!!
Brought to you from the makers of Walking To School and Bringing Dinner To The Boil!
Finally! I can experience the joys of driving a truck while driving a truck!
Now I can finally fall asleep when driving and see what I reap in casualties!!
Ok, it is kind of funny to rag on this genre but I can confirm that Euro Truck Simulator 2 was a genuine pleasure to play. If this title is anywhere near as good then it'll be worth taking seriously. Relaxing and trucking around listening to podcasts is great fun.
We have a strong competitor to bus driving simulator on our hands!
This is great, but I won't be completely satisfied until Sheep Driver and Screw Driver have been announced as well.
@Coach_A for me, it unironically is. RoR2 is on my radar regardless (although not before the first one), but this is actually one of the most anticipated late 2020 releases in my book. I've enjoyed Euro Truck Simulator, but that's not quite a game to lug a laptop around for, so a genre representative on Switch, with blackjack and experience meters to boot, is a hard offer to pass on.
Depending on the price and my November income, I might even grab it in the launch window... unless other expenses kick in. Like hardware repairs; for one, 2020 continues its FWP stunts with random but frequent "access errors" on my Switch since Sunday. It's happening on all three of my memory cards which show no apparent issues in general system visibility or via PC diagnosis tools otherwise, so I'm getting an annoyed suspicion of the card reader slot itself acting up all of a sudden.😒
So what’s the game about again?
@NotTelevision Dining on the road.
@NotTelevision : Eating mushrooms and bouncing on Goombas... and you're all out of mushrooms.
I think I'd love this
The logistics industry is always looking for drivers.
I don't get playing a game of a job, if you plan to do it well.
Make fun of me if you want, but I am gonna get this!
@Yanina I dare ya. You won't!! 🤪 I've been tempted, too, by a previous truck simulator and this vaguely GTA-esque style driving sim. It's probalby a bore, though.

I almost asked NL to try and find one drivng simulator that's maybe, kinda fun?.... for a story/mini review, but I'm not sure any of these low-budget-looking driving sims on eshop is worth a story, and I don't want to waste nintendolife writer's time @ryancraddock This very well could be a poor idea, and I'm aware of it.
@Friendly If I can stop and get some Waffle House hashbrowns then I’m sold.
It's very easy to make fun of the genre and there are plenty of shovelware driving games on the Switch. I watched some videos of Euro Truck Simulator 2 on the PC, and then bought it. Done well, it's very relaxing. Same kind of relaxing as farming sims. I'm hoping it's similar to ETS2
Eurotruck Simulator rip off
