Scheduled maintenance for the Pokémon HOME app has been detailed ahead of this week's The Crown Tundra DLC launch in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
The maintenance will affect both the mobile and Nintendo Switch versions of the app, and is set to take place from Thursday 22nd October at 23:00 UTC until Friday 23rd October at 04:00 UTC. A message within the app notes that "during this maintenance, all functions of Pokémon HOME will be unavailable."
Once the maintenance is complete, you'll need to update your mobile app to version 1.3.0 and your Switch app to Version 1.2.0.
While it hasn't been confirmed by The Pokémon Company or Nintendo, it's very likely that the Crown Tundra DLC will drop during the timeframe mentioned above. We expect you'll be able to enjoy the new content – and all of those guaranteed legendary Pokémon captures – once this maintenance is complete.
Looking forward to The Crown Tundra? Let us know if you'll be diving into it later this week with a comment below.

22nd Is a Thursday I believe.
Edit: Its changed now
Just waiting on the Go integration now so I can move over all the Pokemon from that since I gave it up.
Oh well that probably means the dlc launches at 6am cet, so there is no point in staying up
I'm looking forward to it now that I can buy it in physical form.
I'll need to transfer my shiny Machop from Let's Go Eevee now that now it can gigantamax. I'm bummed that Mega Evolutions aren't featured in this, but I'm also keen on transferring my shiny Onix so that I can bask in shiny Steelix's majesty.
I hope there will be some more Pokémon beyond what has already been mentioned. The lack of quantity for the asking price is just pitiful.
I don't know if anyone cares, but it looks like North American Amazon has base Sword and Shield permanently discounted to $39.99 ahead of the DLC launch + the DLC bundle. I'm not sure if that applies to any other region of Amazon.
Gen 1 baby! Wooo!
does anyone know what time UK people will be able to play the game
I hope no one is surprised by this. It was a given that they would update it. And they have to update right before the DLC, or dataminers would plunder every little detail ahead of time.
I'm super ready for this update/DLC. And we know Pokemon Go connectivity is coming this year too! I hope sooner, rather than later.
