Nintendo Is Releasing Three Switch Bundles In Japan Next Month

Just needs a mario kart bundle and Japan is on lock.

Don’t they already have a bundle like that for Mario party in North America?

I wonder if the Ring Fit Switch bundle will come to Europe and the US as I think that they would be very popular.

Looks like that Ring Fit bundle will be the primary Switch bundle for the holidays.

Even though I have one pro controller, I never got around to getting Splatoon 2, and that fetching Splatoon pro controller bundle looks mighty tempting.

The Splatoon box is a restock as well. I bought one the first time. It was in NA, EU and JP for sure, don't know if AZ got it.

@westman98 @HotGoomba I can't imagine that Switch Fit bundle selling well in the US at $380 this late in the Switch life. $299 it might literally jump off of shelves but over $400 with tax in most states would be asking a lot I think.

I'm not opposed to Ring Fit, it's on my watch list for BF sales, just not at $380 with a nearly 4 year old console. But Nintendo gonna Nintendo so it wouldn't surprise me.

I find the Mario Party one an odd choice. They released that game and seemed to forget about it until now?

I know I am not the only one who thought more content was planned for it. I like the game too, that's what I wanted a couple more boards and maybe characters.

@rjejr Given that both the standard Switch and RFA individually continue to fly of the shelves in their home country and soon as stock arrives, I imagine the bundle will be insatiably gobbled up even with the relatively modest ¥3706 saving over buying the components separately.

In Japan at least, there’s very little Nintendo actually need to do to ‘sweeten the deal’. The demand is already there. All they really have to get right is the supply.

...but I also have no recollection of the Splat Pro Controller being included in an official bundle in any region.

Ring Fit is still selling out very consistently in the US (and throughout most markets across the world).

A Ring Fit bundle will fly off of shelves because the game and the Switch itself are in very high demand, and this bundle satiates both desires.

I really hope those Yellow Joycons get restocked at somepoint, everytime I see one I think "ooo I still need to snag these..." before being hit with a painful wack of reality

I can't believe Nintendo included black ones with their colourful bundles. It makes no sense.

@Slinkoy1 they did. It was a thanksgiving deal the year Mario Party came out. The price was fantastic and it sold out like crazy. I regret sleeping on it

@SwitchplayerJohn Nice! Sounds like it was worth it then. Even though I'm happy with my plain black pro controller (it's MILES better than the joycons imo), I'm kicking myself for not getting a more vivid special edition controller. The Smash Bros, Splatoon, and (especially) Xenoblade pro controllers are so dang pleasing on the eyes!

I mean, when I say available I mean ‘sold out short of winning a lottery’. But it’s still theoretically existed. I’m not sure about other regions, it may well be just Japan. It’s certainly not widely spread.

@Maxz if it's digital how is it sold out? I wish they would release the digital version for free or a small price so I wouldn't have to put the cart in every time I wanted to play... I usually prefer physical for games. But for a workout games I feel like the easier to get started playing the better.

Got the Super Mario Party bundle with the green/yellow JoyCons when it was released. Turned out to be a good decision, as I haven't seen this color combination on sale anywhere else.

@Cheez The game itself of digital but the accessories are obviously physical, and you have to purchase both simultaneously. I agree it would be good to make digital download versions of the game more prevalent.

Almost surprised that the Ring Fit bundle doesn't feature red and orange joy-cons.

@westman98 @Maxz I suppose you both are right, $380 just seems like a hard sell during a pandemic to me for 3 1/2 year old hardware. I've seen a few BF ads and PS4 and X1 will be going for like $150-$200. I know those are old, but even XSX will be $300, PS5 DOE $400, so $380 just seems like a lot. Better off just offering the Switch at $300, letting retailers sell Ring Fit separately for $80 I would think.

Why artificially constrain the already tight supply of $300 Switch and $80 game by bundling them when they could sell them separately? I'd much rather see Switch bundles w/ games for $300 - MK8 or Smash. Nintendo could make up the $60 loss for Smash w/ the currently $55 in season passes plus the other non-included DLC for Mii skins.

So sure, Switch RFA bundle sells for $380, maybe sells out. But they would have to keep it limited to keep up the inventory for the 60 mil current Switch owners who want RFA, and the potential Switch owners who don't want RFA. Just seems like an unnecessary headache for a lot of folk creating a limited bundle.

I do realize supply and demand are 2 different issues, but I don't think they could balance that right.
