As promised in its tease of exciting announcements and more all coming this week, Super Rare Games has revealed its next physical indie game release on Switch. This time around, it's Freedom Finger.
As always, the Super Rare release will include a cartridge, all the game's content on the cart, a full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and three trading cards randomly selected from a five-card set. Only 4,000 copies will be produced, with pre-orders going live on September 17th at 6pm BST.
We had a blast with this one when playing it for review last year. You can read our full thoughts here if you'd like to learn more, but we'll share just a taste of what we had to say below.
Freedom Finger is a completely unexpected retro shooter banger. Its unique hand-drawn style, amazing soundtrack, highly offensive humour and various unique and clever gameplay mechanics all come together to deliver a beautifully anarchic ride through a madcap campaign that backs up its brash stylings with solid and challenging gameplay.
Let us know if you're planning on picking this up in the comments.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no.
I remember it getting a good review and it has that interesting alt.-cartoon art syle. I don't know it I will get it though as I have several shooters in my arsenal of games.
Haven't picked up a Super Rare game in awhile but might have to pick this one up.
I can picture the flying finger ship becoming a meme someday
Aesop Rock does the Soundtrack for this game, so I'm tempted.
Pretty fun game for those on the fence....I have enjoyed it, especially with different levels of difficulty and modes.
Music in this game is amazing. Lots of my favourite bands. Recommend
@KonkeyDong64 It also has some really good voice talent, John Dimaggio amongst others. I kind of want to buy it just for the voice work.
An amazing experience, but hard as hell.
This is one I'm gonna buy one day but not physical
I don't know why but this seems like a game I should of seen them playing in the movie Team America: World Police
Not going to lie I’m extremely pumped for this. I love shooters and this one heavily reminds me of the 16 and 32 bit era where art style and odd mechanics could flourish. Not hating on current shooters but many seem to boil down to 5 stage bullet hells with elaborate scoring systems or a outlet for anime cleavage. Can’t wait!
You guys announced this release but not Dandara's
It’s still available.....
