During Yacht Club's latest presentation, it was revealed the 8-bit platformer Cyber Shadow would be released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this fall.
If you haven't heard about this title before, it's a game that's been developed by Aarne Hunziker from Mechanical Head Studios over the past decade and has been polished up under the watchful eye of Yacht Club. Apart from the launch window, we got a look at a new story trailer for this epic adventure full of pulse-pounding action (see above).
That's not all, though. This upcoming release will also support the Shovel Knight amiibo. This includes support for Shovel Knight, Specter Knight, Plague Knight, and King Knight. If you use any of these while playing Cyber Shadow, you'll summon a Shovel Knight avatar in the game that travels alongside you.

This just seems like the same story as Shovel Knight :/
I like the amiibo inclusion tho.
That‘a a fun little way to make use of the amiibo. I’m a late acquirer of the adorable plastic money wasters, but I hope they continue to find purpose in future games.
Will it support the Loch Ness Monster amiibo as well? (whose existence is also in dispute )

@Maschinenmensch For me personally, I'd like to see them not just repeat Shovel Knight's story for all their upcoming games. Their game may be fantastic regardless because it's not like Story is really any reason to play their games. The story itself is not that interesting. More the charm and humor of the npcs and the great platforming. Which is fine. Didn't say it was bad. Just that for me personally, if it's a new world and characters, than get creative. That's it.

@Kirby_Girl it doesn’t look like a shovel knight clone at all though, safe to say it looks unique and fun as hell. :3 I can’t wait to play it.

@Maschinenmensch I was referring to the story since this is a story trailer. You're right though! This is totally a different game in terms of it's actual gameplay! Very different.
