Unsurprisingly, a Nintendo game won the best family game award at the 2019 Game Awards. The company filled every slot in this particular category, and in the end, Luigi's Mansion 3 took out the title. It beat Ring Fit Adventure, Super Mario Maker 2, Yoshi's Crafted World and the best-fighting game award-winner, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Luigi's Mansion 3 was released at the end of October. We gave it nine out of ten stars and said it was one of the most "enjoyable and attractive" games released on the Nintendo Switch this year. On a related note, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled won the award for the best sports/racing category, placing ahead of other titles like FIFA 20.
