UK chart data is now in for the week ending 12th October, revealing that FIFA 20 is sitting at the top of the table for the third week in a row.
The game stays ahead of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint which was another non-mover in second, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe saw a nice boost to see it blast past other games into third place. This marks the game's 128th week in the charts.
Elsewhere, the relatively recently released The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening has fallen another couple of places, now sitting in seventh.
Here's a look at this week's top twenty all formats chart:

Gamers please stop giving EA your hard earned money.
@Yoshinator Only when the US gamers stop giving EA money for Madden and Canada for NHL.
@m8e3point1415 @FragRed Than the solution must be to burn EA to the ground!......hehe just kidding.
Gears 5 has been 4th for awhile now, pretty impressive it hasn't dropped off.
Anyone know what the day one 3gb patch is for The Witcher 3? got my copy early and its downloading this patch. Thought there'd be some reviews out by now or at least some update around something like this. CDPR are good about sharing this kind of stuff,but I've not heard anything regarding the day one download. Come on NintendoLife give us some info if not the review!
I'm really curious about how FIFA 19 Remastered, er, "FIFA 20" on Switch has sold.
I can look past the lack of parity given the inherent disparity between the three key systems, but they could have at least implemented something specifically for the Switch version in lieu of the Volta (?) football mode. Didn't the FIFA games on Wii have some sort of exclusive Mii All Stars mode or something along those lines? (I have never played any of the FIFAs on Wii, so feel free to correct me)
Anthem on the top 20?!
I am disappointed with humanity
@PlayedNSlayed : That's a pretty hefty patch. Was it mandatory to run the game or did "Start Software" appear prior to downloading the patch?
It's pretty crappy of them to make a big deal of using a 32GB cart and pull this sort of nonsense, especially on a years-old port whose bugs should have been ironed out without necessitating a patch, let alone a 3GB patch on day one.
Is that FIFA for switch or combined sales from all systems?
@Silly_G 1-2% of the total physical sales
@AG_Awesome combined
@m8e3point1415 oh
This game should die soon....
@Silly_G Any new game I get I always go to the update software option before starting it to see if there is a patch. I don't know if is mandatory in that sense as i didn't click on the game icon itself.I checked under software in data management settings and its listed as 3.1gb on my sd card. Just thought there would be some info out there about it as they've been very transparent with all the info they've shared
@PlayedNSlayed : Are you sure that's purely update data? What about the save data?
Great. Idiots still giving money to this company and the game which has one of the worst metascores ever. Well done gamers! Well whatever. People that play such games are not real gamers anyway.
@Silly_G i havent started the game yet still waiting for the download to finish
I imagine people are buying mario kart to get the taste of that god awful travesty, tainting the name mario kart, out of their mouths. Yuck, I feel nauseous talking about it.
@PlayedNSlayed
r/gatekeeping
EA is such a scam and people are so blind! sigh
@NINtendo242 true that. soccerfans are not necessarily gamers. I know those kind. You see them at McDonalds 1.00 am in adidas joggers and hoodies.
Do hardware sales in the UK ever get released to the public?
I imagine the MK8D sales are due to new Switch Lite users
@Yoshinator Darn call everybody out on their EA addiction. Put everyone on blast, why don't yah. lmbo
@NINtendo242 Bit of a sweeping generalisation there.
@Scollurio Some will be, others won't be. It's not really any more complex than that.
@Beatley82 True that. It just shows, that us "educated/informed" gamers are the tiny minority when it comes to that sort of thing. It's a bit like with elections. Posters all over the town and I always think to myself: "who's casting their vote based on a poster?!" - but apparently, many might do just that.
@Scollurio @Scollurio Well that much is true. That is how my country ended up with this disaster Brexit.
@PlayedNSlayed I believe the patch is just a language pack only and is not needed to play the game. So you should be safe to delete it.
@Beatley82 Yeah I'm following the shenaningans. But I'm not so sure if the future of the EU as a whole is that much brighter than that of a hard-brexit UK. Time will tell.
@Scollurio To be fair i know a lot of people whos gaming is limited to FIFA, CoD and the occasional racer but i wouldnt consider them lesser gamers, simply people who know what they like and play what they like without feeling the need to force themselves to play something else just to appease the hardcore crowd who seem to feel there opinion means more.
@bluemage1989 well to the economy they surely aren't any lesser than anyone else! It's not about opinions meaning more, I never meant my comment to be understood this way. I just meant, that those gamers don't show a "general" interest in gaming as a whole. They just consume their 2 or 3 brands for entertainment and that's that. I'd not say that gaming is their hobby. Not that it has to be or this has any meaning at all.
FIFA is only as successful as it is because it has no direct competition. Only EA is allowed, legally, to make licensed sports games like FIFA, Madden and the NHL games.
It's a dirty monopoly and shouldn't be allowed.
@OorWullie I did wonder after a time if it was that,as I know it was an extra optional download on the ps4 too
@Scollurio i didn't explain that to well myself either didn't mean your comment specifically but rather the wider gaming community seems to have this view that just because you limit yourself to one or two brands you are not a gamer and your opinion is invalid. To describe someone who, for instance, only bought Nintendos or Sonys first party AAA titles and literally nothing else as being ignorant of the gaming hobby as a whole would be kind of silly or someone who only played a select few fighters like Street Fighter and Tekken. I think the issue is there is a lot of elitism and snobbery developing within the wider gaming community whereby your opinions and desires for the industry moving forward are only valid if you meet a check list devised by 'core' gamers and that only a select few should be able to dictate the future of gaming. I think there is ample room for the entire spectrum of the gaming community to coexist but a small group of gaming elitists need to step down from their high horses and accept they are not as important as they seem to think they are if they want to have their opinions taken seriously by these big companies.
@Beatley82 Ah, shoehorning politics into a gaming article as an opportunity to insult Brexit voters as 'uninformed' and 'stupid'.
Classy...
@MichaelHarvey Ah well.
