"Current Price (EU)".. I only see "Current Price (UK)"
@Monkeido That’s pretty ironic, all things considered.
I'll see what the US prices are...possibly Rabbits and Child of Light.
That's a real bargain for Rayman. So much content and it's just an exceptionally well made game in my opinion. Stands up with recent "2D" Mario games.
And the Donkey Kong DLC for Mario + Rabbids. It's the first time the DLC itself is on sale, but the complete package aka Gold Edition has been several times. At last we early buyers will have a reward.
Trading in my copy of Mario + Rabbids today to part fund Astral Chain. Great game.
Has anyone played Assassin's Creed on Switch? Is it a good port?
@frabbit I agree. If I hadn't bought it on Wii U, I would buy it now!
I second the sale for Mario and rabbids DLC. It is never on sale, first time I’ve seen it.
Will grab child of light and rayman
@frabbit I also agree if I didn’t buy it on the Wii u. It would be day 1 on the switch
@frabbit As far as I'm concerned, Rayman Legends was simply the best platformer on Wii U. Even better than DK Tropical Freeze. They both box in a different league than New Super Mario Bros U in my opinion.
I wanted Mario+Rabbids physical, but with 50% off I may just go digital...
Rayman Legends is the most fun I had with a video game in a while.
@frabbit I also like Rayman, the art work is phenomenal, the music is suberb. And there is a ton of content and variety in levels.
I highly recommend that game!
Gosh, I WISH Ubisoft would put some Splinter Cell games on Switch. Come on, Ubisoft. If you thought there was enough of a demand for Assassin's Creed, then surely there's a demand for Splinter Cell.
Anyway, I might end up finally getting Mario + Rabbids.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Same!
@frabbit agree that Rayman price looks like an absolute steal!
I have to be disciplined about these eshop sales so as I'd already dipped for Cave Story+ like an hour before these were all announced, I'll have to wait a bit and hope that offer comes round again..
Mind you I'm pretty happy with my deal on Cave Story+
@WaitroseDad64 I will go you one better (actually three). It is the best platformer on Vita, PS4, PS3 and the Wii U.
@blockfight Terrible port, its basically the Wii U version. It's not 'remastered'.
If you haven't played it before, I would do so as its a brilliant game, but if you can get it on PS4 or Xbox, I would.
I bought starlink 😳 bad idea?
I've already got Rayman Legends and Mario and Rabbids, which are really the only games listed that I Iike.
I would love to see sequels to both games one day.
It seems like ages since we got a new Rayman game. Would live to see Rayman in Smash Bros.
@WaitroseDad64 not for me. I prefer dk. 💪
@blockfight honestly shocked at all bad reviews for this, I’ve played and completed 30 hours+ and it does not deserve all the bad press, looks great plays well and great price!
I played Rayman Legends on Wii U and while I enjoyed my time with it, it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be and have no desire to play through it again. It has beautiful graphics, plenty of variety and tons of content but the whole thing just didn't come together well for me. I disliked the hub and found the controls too floaty, just as I did with Origins. I still think Rayman 2 on Dreamcast is the best in the series and and for me, Legends isn't even in the same league as Tropical Freeze, never mind Nintendo's very best.
I already have Mario v Rabbids since release day but didn't get too far into it before I had to stop playing for various reasons. I've been meaning to go back to it ever since but I'd be lying if I said I really liked what I played of it. I do have a feeling it'll click with me next time though. Apart from MvRKB and Starlink (which I need to play) though, I've found Ubisoft's Switch support really disappointing. Considering the success of the console and how well they supported Wii U I expected them to be all in with Switch but nope, it's mostly been crap from them. I probably should give Starlink a go though.
Went for the mario rabbids season pass.
Finally a sale on it, lol
-ruud
I bought Rabbids before I boarded a three hour flight today. Was excellent. Very happy with the purchase. Worth it for this price.
I hope they slash the price of the DLC for Starlink. I wanna pick up the second set but not at the currently crazy price.
I JUST bought Assassin's Creed III yesterday... not that I'm complaining, as I feel it was worth the price. They recently added a pretty big patch to the game, and in my experience, it fixes at least some of the problems reviewers had with it upon release
@Joe-b if it means anything I've beaten the story mode of Mario+Rabbids and it's DLC and I was downright amazed by the quality of the game.
No game featuring the Rabbids should be that good but it was. The DLC was a bit less good but was still pretty solid and I would say it's main flaw is just that it(and it's characters) exists exclusively apart from the core game but otherwise it was still pretty enjoyable. I just wish it's cast had been allowed to exist alongside that of the main game for more customizability.
For this sale, I might actually get Child of Light myself.
If you havent played rayman yet it is the best 2d platformer on gods green earth
I already have Rayman, Mario and Rabbids and Child of Light. For the current price I think I'll take a shot at frame per second assassin ('s creed). The South Park game's price is really good too, but I'm not really sure about it...
Both Mario Rabbids and Child of Light are AMAZING games. They both deserve to be considered classics.
I also played Valiant Hearts and I enjoyed it mostly for the connection to WWI and all of the interesting facts. The game play and graphics felt a bit generic though.
@Ludovsky
Yes, thanks for your two cents! I will check the eshop pricing tonight when I get home from work. I appreciate it. Thanks!
I been enjoying the Sega Ages releases as well. Just beat Phantasy Star. Love that game.
might get uno
Might finally grab child of light, monopoly could be fun for family trip coming up to though.
Rayman is a steal but I already have it on PS4 and I only completed some levels. Is the definiteve version worth a double dip?
Nintendo charging £18 in the UK for Assasins Creed III. Which converts to €20. But if you try to buy in Ireland they convert it to €24. Good maths Nintendo.
Alright time to stock up on dlc
@sandman89 I can't blame you. DK is great too!
@matdub I'm less familiar with platformers on Sony consoles but if I was I would probably agree.
@Monkeido add about a dollar or two to it for us price. If it's 7.99 it'll probably be 8.99 us. You can just go to nintendos website and put the games name in also.
Time to finally buy the DK DLC for Rabbids.
@Joe-b careful, Child of Light has perfomance issues, and afaik they never released a patch.
@floxi ok, thanks. I thought they did release a patch...but if not, good to know.
Keep slashing.
I bought Rayman in the last sale and haven't started it yet, started kingdom battle this week I think SP fractured but hole will be on my dashboard by the end of the week
@Monkeido
That's standard behaviour here on NL to list prices for Europe (and often enough Austalia, too) in that they just fill in the British price.
@HappyMaskedGuy
Well spoken. 👍
@OorWullie
"I still think Rayman 2 on Dreamcast is the best in the series"
I fully subscribe to that.
Missing in the list (taken from the German eShop, incl. German VAT). Valid until September, 11th.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas - Standard edition € 19,99 (was € 79,99 )
Starlink: Battle for Atlas - Deluxe edition € 29,99 (was € 99,99)
And sorry for the prices in €. We tend to pay in Euros here in Germany. 😉
This sale extends to the 3DS as well, FWIW.
@bleedinmagic81 Did the patch fix the sound problems?
@John_Deacon What kind of sound problems did it have before the patch? I can't recall running into any
I already owned Trials Rising for my Xbox One X, but i bought it at 50% off on Switch too to get it portable.
I know the Switch port isn't that good, but still works fine.
@superguy123 haha yeah I’d been waiting for a sale on the rabbids dlc. Am playing it now and forgot how much I love this game.
Now we just need a sequel!
I picked up starlink: battle for atlas, that was on sale and i'm pretty happy with it!
A great starfox game.
Might have to make sure that I get a couple of these!
Please remind me to never pay full price for an EA, Ubisoft or independent publisher. This way I can save money for Nintendo owned IPs. Thanks.
I’m playing through the mario rabbids dk dlc. It’s amazing. Also I bought rayman again
REMINDER !!! LAST CHANCE !!!
Or until the next sale... or the one after that, and the next one etc etc. Seriously, these articles...
If you are in a hurry to play one of these games, then by all means, jump on it, but then again, you probably already have. I bet that most of us have back lists until next year at the least. Waiting for a next sale even nets you the chance that prices have gone down even further. So enough with these panicky reminders for sales. These kinds articles are just fillers for a slow news weeks.
@Vriess just because you aren't interested in this sale doesn't mean others aren't. If it's not for you, perhaps don't click on it, unless you've got something useful to add.
@antdickens
Who says I'm not interested? I more than half of the games on this list. Most of them bought during sales too. I just don't like these kinds or articles. Is it you who decides which post is useful or not? I'm not breaking any site/forum rules here, so I can give my opinion whether you like it or not.
@Vriess it breaks our “Do not post - unless you have something useful to say” rule. I’m sure those interested in purchasing the games featured in the sale appreciate the reminder.
@Vriess - I think @antdickens has, and has earned more right than anyone to decide what is a useful post on here...
can't decide if i want to pick up child of light, kind of hoping we see some other publisher sale start up after this with something i'm interested in. I want to grab one more game for my double 15 hour car rides i'll be partially driving for, and partially getting lots of switch time.
Oh man, if I didn't have such a backlog I'd definitely double dip with Child of Light. That game is just beautiful...
Unfortunately there is nothing for me. I have played most of the Ubisoft games I have wanted to play. At least until a new Splinter Cell comes out someday.
