Pokémon might not actually exist, but that doesn't mean trainers far and wide can't enjoy real-size versions of these lovable creatures in plush form. The Pokémon Center website is currently taking pre-orders for a "jumbo-size" Mareep Poké Plush that matches the electric sheep's height listed in the Pokédex.
This super-soft and woolly plush is "about 24 inches tall and 40 inches long" and is a Pokémon Center Original design. As for the price, it'll set you back a whopping $500 USD and takes 5-7 business days to ship. Pre-orders are open until 1st September 2019 and the item will be sent out to customers in January 2020. Unfortunately, it's only available within the US.

Oh my. That better be some seriously quality material!
Puts the Snorlax to shame.
Broke: Spend $500 on PS5
Woke: Spend $500 on giant Mareep plush
‘Pokémon might not actually exist...’
Say what now?
But is it made out of Canvas? I heard that stuffs rare.
You know, who really needs money when you got a giant mareep?
Aww come on, it's that much money and not woolly??? Do love that they're making ones that are true to the Pokédex size.
“I don’t need it.”
“I don’t need it.”
“I definitely don’t need it.”
“I don’t need it.”
“I NEEEEEDDDD ITTTTTTTT!”
Make a wooloo one and then we are talking
Thinking about cuddling this plushy is making me sleepy...
I just can’t understand how anyone could think this is worth this kinda money. For $500 you could get some comfy furniture that’d really help with sleeping
This is so insanely ignorant. Absolutely ridiculous. There is nothing about the materials or construct that makes it worth anywhere near $500. It's obscene, really.
Looks like a wonderful piece. I just wanna know who on earth thinks it's worth that much. That's a lot of money. People could buy half a Neo Geo game with that amount
In for two.
I have nothing more to say.
This thing is definitely not large enough to be worth 500 bucks. For it being 2ft by 3ft I'd say maybe 100-200 if the materials are quality and if it is well crafted.
Seriously $500?!
It looks fantastic but who has that kind of money to spare? Not the real fans anyway
When they introduce a new sheep Pokemon and the original decides to show em who's boss....
Plot twist: there's a Nintendo Switch built into plushie. It's an exclusive Mareep edition console.
...I can't justify the price tag any other way.
I can hear them. I can hear collectors' hearts bleeding.
I love the idea of a life-sized Mareep plushie but uh I'm not willing to spend two rents worth of money on it. These things always make me wonder how the whole planning process went (idea, size, material, amount manufactured, minimum price/total manufacturing cost), because... this... is a lot of money for a plushie. Unless it can actually generate electricity to add to its lifelike factor; one could justify buying a fluffy generator for their home.
I just want to see some cashed-up YouTuber buy one and shear it.
What market/demographic is this aimed at to justify charging $500 for?
How big is the cross section of the Venn diagram that covers Mareep fans, fans of large scale plushies, and fans who have that kind of money to burn?
I'm only 2 out of 3 of those...
Just bought for my daughter she will love it awwww.my g f is very unhappy but thinks it cute !
Crazy way to spend $500 if you were to ask me
Mareep is one of my favorite electric types. Its sooo cuuute! Just not $500 worth of cute.
@KarateLuigi The world's cutest taser?
that's a bit over the top with that price
@Tempestryke I... yes. XDDD
Great, now I have to imagine someone wearing it as a top for self-defence. Not even a Mareep costume, just... this plushie as a top like they're clipping into a 3D model. Also someone using this massive plushie as a taser in a fight.
For five-hundred friggin smackers that bad boi better breathe, baa and battle. A stuffed animal is not worth $500. Wake up people. (And yeah seems like Wooloo would have been the more popular/relevant choice)
@AxeltheCorvikni agree, i feel like it would have sold more than Mareep. But still anyone that buys it is insane
@Tanooki-Time 100% authentic wool from real sheep inside as stuffing!
@Tsusasi it's jumbo size. the bigger it is, the more expensive it is
@KarateLuigi rent for $250??
