After originally being penned down for a slightly vague "autumn 2019" release, Doraemon Story Of Seasons has now received a true release date. You'll be able to pick it up from 11th October.
A crossover game between Story of Seasons (Harvest Moon) and Japanese manga series Doraemon, the game will have players planting, growing, and harvesting their way through a "friendly adventure". You'll be enjoying those activities with Doraemon and his friends as you aim to develop a town, interacting with the people in it to build a thriving community.
Alongside the release date announcement, Bandai Namco has shared a small avalanche of screenshots. We've shared a number of them for you below:

Will there be a retail release?
oh snap, right before my bday! Welp I know what I'm getting...
This looks really good. Can’t wait for this.
@Ryu_Niiyama an expensive figurine?
l never have played Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons games, so maybe just maybe l should try this game if its not 60$.
Stardew Valley does it better, but I'm happy to see the original team behind the Harvest Moon series still putting out efforts like this. If there's a western physical release I'll be a buyer. HM: LoH from Natsume was really "meh".
Nice, day one for me
Well this looks absolutely lovely. I will go live there instead of here.
Hate the look of the main character. Sandals at all times while farming? Really?
@Tsurii Glad to see I'm not the only who didn't like Stardew.
@StableInvadeel I beg your pardon?
Edit: Oh sorry didn't know it was you Morpheel. I was like "Who the heck is this rando?" That being said, haha you got jokes I see. I'll have you know I just paid off my Amaterasu bust from f4f. I am thinking about the two smaller okami statues but I have like 5 more sailor moon statues to buy so I think I'm going to work them down first. I have no idea where I'm going to put ANY of it, mind you.
@Ryu_Niiyama oh so those are more like pre-birthday gifts then.
Don’t worry sometimes I don’t recognize the username myself!
@SpacedDuck it's just a game. Just enjoy it as it is. We don't need realism in each game. Maybe this person is high fashion and loves to wear it... See? We all can say something about it. Just enjoy the game
I might get this but I'm saving my bucks for Rune Factory 4 first so this I may get later.
Such a good art style...too bad the FoMT remake didn't use something like this.
@Alucard83 if it's just a game why not just have all characters naked then? Maybe a farmer with sandals offends me bro.
@Magician I love Stardew Valley and I still return to it but I've pretty much gotten all I can out of it at this point. Kind of wish the seasonal events had some randomness to them but the conversations are all the same and I have received all of the items you can from them. Right now all I have left to do is earn enough money for that clock that stops damage from happening on your farm. But I just wish there was a bit more content to keep me excited about the slog.
@StableInvadeel LOL Those are Ryu has no budget control purchases. And to think I actually plan for high spending in October.
@RazumikhinPG Yes, both Japan and Europe have digital and physical versions of the game available. It's digital only in the US, unfortunately.
Doraemon games in ENGLISH for the FIRST time EVER ??
Wow!
But, they changed the names of Nobita into Noby, Shizuka into Sue.... 🤨
Digital only in the US is such a drag...Guess I'll have to import.
I recall playing a Doraemon game on some old Nintendo handheld or other - can’t recall . I just remember like the character. This looks good!
I'm a huge Doraemon fan and almost picked up a physical copy of this while I was in Tokyo a couple of months ago, figuring I wouldn't be able to understand it but hey, Doraemon!! Glad I waited.
The art style is gorgeous.
I have no familiarity with Doraemon but this looks like something special.
Hopefully the localisation will hold up.
Will definitely be keen to give this a go.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, the dub names suck.
This looks interesting but I just am not too into growing things or farming. What I like the most are cats. Do you think there is a mode where you can raise cats instead of planting things?
I love anime, but just Doraemon never appealed to me so this ones a skip .
@Patron Have you played Cattails? Might be right up your alley.
Going to pick this up on day one (hopefully a physical copy, if they release one here in the UK)! I am a huge Story of Seasons fan, and Doraemon actually aired for years in Italy when I was a kid (dubbed, of course), so I am very familiar with the characters. Besides, the art style is absolutely gorgeous!
I think the US dub cast of Doraemon are dubbing this as well, even though the anime hasn't been on air since 2015! I am excited to hear the voices again!
@tzahn I tried cattails but it was just too violent for my tastes.
@Patron I doubt it. Growing crops and raising farm animals are the main actions that the player can do in the Story of Seasons (also known as Bokujou Monogatari/Harvest Moon [Snes-ANB]) games. Pets are often secondary and/or just there for decoration with no real way to raise them. The only exception to the former was Tree of Tranquility and Animal Parade, where you could befriend wild animals and keep them around as pets.
If you want a cat raising game, you could check out Little Friends: Dogs & Cats (Switch; the reviews aren't that good) or Nintendogs + Cats (3DS).
YES!!!!! October 11 is now a sick day.
