YS 8 is quite good if you like fast paced action RPGs and enjoy great video game music, highly recommended from me.

Good looking sale, might pick up the SNK collection. My Dad always talks about how those were the top of the line games back in the day.

I just realized that I don't actually own the SNK 40th Anniversary collection for some reason. Time to rectify that!

Interested in games like Disgaea and Ys but I've already bought multiple games this month and don't have time to play everything. Maybe next time.

I don't know if I should buy the caligula effect overdose. Based on the reviews it wasn't the bestgame and It had some issues running on switch but I'm still really intrigued by it.

In America we hate sales.
I mean, if you go by when and if Nintendo seems to deem us worthy of them.

I'll just add on to the voice recommending Ys VIII. Superb JRPG, aside from some framerate issues. I spent 70 hours or so completing it and had a grand time.

@sleepinglion Europe gets all the special editions and sales these days. Quite a reverse from the 90's. NoA needs to treat us better, though: NA is one of Nintendo's biggest markets.

And yeah, PS4 consistently has the best sales I've ever seen for a console. It almost rivals Steam on that front, which is... surprising.

Great timing was going to buy ys yesterday at full price, so this is a blessing!
Wanted disagea 5 but I’m trying to avoid any more backlog so it will have to wait.

In uk I seem to come across them regularly, but I always check my watchlist every time I boot up my switch in case something is discounted.
Here I was thinking that America get better sales and more often?!

If you don't own Ys VIII yet, get it! You won't regret it.

3DS and Wii U games also reduced.

@Deathwalka It's pretty terrible here. Sometimes we'll see 15 to 20% off a title most of us have had since launch, but Nintendo is always stingy with America, right down to physical rewards or collector's editions

If I was going to get one of the Disgaea gamea which one should I get? I've always been tempted to give the series a try.

I've already got 2 of these games in my backlog, but would be interested in more. However I really can't buy anymore games until I start clearing my backlog. I've already got at least 3 other games i'm getting this year lol.

Can you take advantage of having a European account and getting discounts? I know it’s a pain but that may be worth a try if you see a game you like considerably down in price?

Played through Ys 8 twice, once each on PS4 and Switch, put in about 120 hours and I plan to play it again someday. Incredible game. Also love D5C.

For those of us in NA, a similar, if not identical sale(havent checked every single game here) is happening right now on the NA eShop too.

@TommyRabbit I think the consensus is that Disgaea 5 is pretty much the pinnacle of Disgaeas., the older ones being lacking in some of its better features. I've only played 5, but I can testify that it's a great game.

Disgaea 5 was a heck of a great game. Easily dropped 200 hours into it on Switch.

Ys VIII is really fun. I paid $60 and had no regrets

@LzWinky Article and headline say Europe, but it's good to know we got the sale, too! We get plenty of sales for the 3rd party and Indie offerings, it's the premium sales for Nintendo other $50+ titles that rarely get a sale in America when sales on these kinds of games are advertised in other countries. My hope is that Nintendo would treat all territories as similarly as possible

@sleepinglion That’s because Nintendo of America prefers to let retailers do sales, which do happen quite often. Wal-mart knocked some first-party titles to $50 recently and Target has sales quite often. I even bought Pokemon LG: Eevee for $30 on Amazon during their Prime Day.

As for NIS’s sale, there is no press release for America. All of the big titles like Disgaea and Ys have a similar price though.
