Dispatch Games is bringing Jaleco's classic shooter The Game Paradise to the Nintendo Switch in the west, it has been revealed.

The Game Paradise: Crusin Mix Special is based on The Game Paradise / Game Tengoku, which originally hit arcades back in 1995. Like Konami's Parodius, it's a title which playfully lampoons other arcade shooter titles, and was ported to the Sega Saturn in Japan in 1997, along with a VHS tape which contained an animated cartoon explaining the story of the game.

Crusin Mix Special was released in Japan on the PlayStation 4 and PC in 2017, and DLC introduced the legendary ship from Toaplan's Tatsujin /Truxton. The Switch version will be coming to both the US and Europe this fall.

“We are extremely pleased to bring such a beloved title to the west” said Brian Schorr, Founder of Dispatch Games. “The Game Paradise: Crusin Mix Special adds yet another great shmup to our ever growing library of shooters.”
