They’re covering all bases – from the realistic to not so realistic reveals and even what’s been rumoured in the lead-up to the big event.
If you don’t have time to absorb this 23-minute conversation, some of the game’s mentioned include Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Pokémon Sword and Shield, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Animal Crossing and Bayonetta 3. I just want some news on Pokémon, but that's already coming soon.
Gosh... I didn't realise E3 would be so soon... Last time I checked it was 2 months away... Just (very) excited for Zelda & Pokémon especially
I expect nothing. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.
Its pretty much this time of the year. All kinds of info will be buzzing about as E3 approaches. Im looking forward to the games as usual, but the collab with MS is definitely something we would keep an eye on. I feel that Nintendo X MS is gonna win the day than being alone.
@N1ntendodo Like the red of Nintendo and the green of XB... we gonna see Christmas in July a month early.
Gimme that big 4
Pikmin 4
Animal Crossing. that's all i want. everything else is gravy at this point.
if, we don't get anything for Animal Crossing Switch, then at least Luigi's Mansion 3 and Astral Chain.
It would be crazy if they tossed in a trailer for Mario Kart Tour, and then at the end of it there was a teaser for Mario Kart 9.
I highly doubt we'll see or hear anything about Metroid Prime 4. The rest of those are fair game. I also hope that there will be some pleasant surprises from both Nintendo and third parties.
FYI, they did have a demo for fire emblem awakening back in the day. i totally remember playing it.
F-zero
F-zero
F-zero
F-zero
..StarFox
Animal Crossing.
1. Animal Crossing trailer, showing a gameplay like Dragon Quest Builders 2.
2. TOWN gameplay.
3. Mario & Sonic at Tokyo 2020 Olympic + Tokyo 2020 Olympic more gameplay trailer.
4. New updates for 3DS to be FREE REGION.
5. The last but not the least.... The Sims 4 on Nintendo Switch...!!!
I would love some news about Shin Megami Tensei V.
Maybe even a surprise reveal from a dead series like fossil fighters, or f-zero
I would love to see NHL, GTA and Fallout 3.
@iLikeUrAttitude YES! More than any other game, SMT is what I am most looking forward to.
@ReaderRagfish Do I detect sarcasm? I hope so. If there's anything I'm tired of is "Gimme ports of old games!"
Mario Kart 9 teaser would be lovely. Either that or additional content for Mario Kart 8. I want something unexpected but brilliant too, like the original Splatoon was a few years ago.
I just want some deep lengthy rpgs
So really hoping for news on shin megami tensei
Animal Crossing and Shin Megami Tensei 5.
A Kojima guest spot announcing surprise Death Stranding/ Metal Gear Solid Collection ports would also be welcome.
@TheFox What’s so wrong with ports? They take little effort and it’s not like they’re using the main developers to work on them. It’s just more games for the Switch that some people might not have played before.
I want some more multiplayer fun. So I'm hoping for some extra super mario party stuff, or smp 2. Biggest wish would a mario kart switch, but I don't see that happening anytime soon sadly!
“Death Stranding is coming to Switch! No, not really...” got him there Alex 😂
I will be looking forward to Pokémon Sword and Shield.
@TheFox
I want ports from other machines, like The Sims 4 PS4 / Xbox One version.
Super Mario Sunshine HD please
@SimplyCinnamon53 It's not so much that I mind ports (I own a few myself), it's more how these comment sections and You-Tube are an endless chorus of "give us ports!" It gets irritating that the majority seem to be more concerned with getting remakes over new material. I found it ironic that people would get upset that the 3DS was still getting support because they thought the minimal support it was getting was too draining on the Switch, but then they'd list an infinite number of ports they wanted and claimed that doesn't put any pressure on the devs. And seeing what Nintendo has released for the Switch so far, I suspect that ports and remakes are cutting into resources that would otherwise go into new games.
I wouldn't mind more info and gameplay footage of Bayonetta 3 and some kind of update on Metroid Prime 4. Also wouldn't mind something on Doom Eternal
On the port front, I see both points of view, I myself don't mind ports but think they shouldn't do too many at one time. The plus side of having ports of older games is that the ones I missed I can get for my Switch instead of having to buy the other systems( can't afford that yet).
Personal Wish List for E3 2019 (not including Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, or other already known projects):
1) Mario Kart 9/Nintendo Kart (As an online article mentioned today, MK 8 is now 4 years old. Time for a new installment! Likelihood: 35%
2) Shining Force 3 HD or Skies of Arcadia 2: Valkyria Chronicles 4 was last year's long-awaited reward for longsuffering fans of Sega IPs not named "Sonic". A remastered version of all three interlocking Scenarios from the Saturn's Shining Force III would be 190 hours' worth of pure SRPG bliss. But a sequel to Skies of Arcadia would likely be just as welcomed by gamers. Likelihood of either: <10% Likelihood of another Sonic-related announcement: >75%
3) A new Civilization VI expansion (including expansion announcement(s) for Switch version): Likelihood: 65%
4) A new F-Zero Likelihood: 10%
5) A new TimeSplitters The franchise was recently picked up by a new publisher, whom I'm pretty sure intends to do something with it, but it's probably still too early to show at any rate. Likelihood: <10%
6) N64 Mini Likelihood: 20%
7) A Mario & Rabbids sequel (possibly including or featuring additional Nintendo IPs such as Zelda, Metroid, etc.). Likelihood: 50%
8) Secret of Mana Collection Likelihood: 75% based upon recent rumblings
9) Activision Anthology and/or Namco Museum Collection Likelihood: 20%
Non-Nintendo/Switch Games/IPs:
ModNation Racers 2 for PS4 Likelihood: 30%
Halo: Infinite for Xbox One/next-gen XBox Likelihood: 100%
A new 3D Modern-era Daisenryaku (Grand Strategy) for PS4, PC Likelihood: <5%
Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV for PS4: Likelihood: 70%
Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero Remastered.
The last 3D Rare plafromer deserves to finally release on a Nintendo console, and I really want it handheld.
Master Chief as the next Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character. Hey, it just COULD happen given Nintendo and Microsoft's recent chumminess. But it also begs the question of what "favor" Microsoft would want in return for such a cameo.
What i expect to see
*New Monolith Soft game reveal trailer,
*Xenoblade X switch port,
*New trailer for Luigi's Mansion 3
*Metroid Prime 4 trailer
What I hope to see
*Langrisser 1-2 Remake NA release
*Star Ocean First Evolution HD demo
*New Tales of game reveal
*Yo-Kai Watch 4 NA release month/year
*Blade Arcus from Shining NA release
*Snack World Switch NA release
*Wizard's Symphony NA release
@personauser93 Death Stranding is an PS4 exclusive, I doubt it can be playable on the Switch.,
Basically, what I expect to see, (and these are pretty much confirmed.)
New F-Zero
New Kid Icarus
Mother 4
New Ice Climbers
And a New Duck Hunt
E3 is looking good my friends.
Rune Factory 5. A new Etrian Odyssey for Switch.
I’m hoping we get an Animal Crossing trailer, and a surprise announcement for a third Endless Ocean!
I just want what I always what from E3 - a surprise announcement of a good new game that will be out before the next E3.
I don't think I've got what I wanted in like 5 years though. Sony was at least smart enough to bail this year so we didn't have to see another trailer for Death Stranding, Ghosts, TLoU2 and Concrete Genie. I'd settle for Pikmin 4. On Switch, not PS4. Or PS5.
They better show Animal Crossing or the AC fans will crucify Nintendo (on Twitter). It's probably too early for Metroid Prime 4 since they restarted development, but I'd love to see that one. More than anything I'd love to see some niche games make a comeback like Baten Kaitos or Wonderful 101, but chances are super slim on that. They'll probably just show more on a bunch of games we already know about.
At least they won't be pulling a Sony and showing FF VII remake for the millionth time. I swear, they're going to sell three generations of consoles on fanboy hype alone (PS3 because of the tech demo, PS4 with the first/second episode, and very likely PS5 for episode 3/remasted collection).
"Brave" is Erdrick and "Heart" is Kris, I can just feel it in my jellies.
Oh and we'll probably see Tifa revealed for FF7R.
@Anti-Matter i would love every single one of those.
Development of Metroid Prime 4 was stated to have been entirely scrapped with the plan of it being rebooted by Retro Studios, there is zero chance that it will be shown at E3 this year. What we can hope for is a Metroid Prime Trilogy that is more than just a bare bones port of the Wii version. Also would be a side-scrolling Metroid game. I think both are fairly likely at least at some point, more so the former.
I would be very, very happy if a new F-Zero title is shown or at least announced, but given history, this might be not in the cards :s...
Bayonetta 3 would be great but I don't think it's likely as they might want to focus on astral chain, which looks great by the way, so I hope they show a little more of it.
Splatoon 3 please
I hope we see:
Animal Crossing
Luigi’s mansion 3
Astral Chain
Daemon X Machina
Zelda: Link’s awakening
Bayonetta 3
SMT V
New Monolith IP
New Ubisoft IP
New Retro games Game
Town
Darksiders 2
The Witcher 3
Code Vein
Bio Mutant
Doom Eternal
Persona 5 Scramble
Monster Hunter
NBA 2K20
Dragon Quest XI
Oninaki
Ori and the blind forest
SNES online library
🤞🏻
I really want that Animal Crossing reveal! My friends and I would be delighted.
As for Luigi’s Mansion 3, I hope it incorporates more elements from the first game. Like, if 3 had the best beats of 1 and 2, I think that’d be great. I miss the Portrait Ghosts.
As for my obligatory pipe dream guess? Hotel Dusk HD on Switch. RIP Cing.
Wave Race, Paper Mario and Prime Trilogy would be sweet for me but doubt we’ll see the first two and don’t hold much hope for the latter either...
Super Monkey Ball
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 4
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Secret of Mana Collection.
Mother 3 remake.
Zelda Handheld collection.
(Yeah...totally not going to happen)
My gut feeling is there will be games with a more traditional handheld flavour (Pokémon, Links Awakening etc). This in no way means they are giving up with home console aspect (which I'm sure will be the knee jerk reaction lol) because they have Astral Chain etc. Simply another strategy to attract more gamers to Switch.
At this e3 Nintendo show, I guess and wish to see Super Mario Galaxy series deluxe version
@NoxAeturnus
If you expect nothing, I'm afraid you will be utterly disappointed.☹️
A new final fantasy arpg using the engine from octopath traveler.
A kingdom hearts made ground up for switch.
Madden!
And, a new Mario Galaxy game.
My list might be very much a fantasy.
Needless to say, one of the following would make my E3. Pikmin, F-Zero, WaveRace, 1080, Eternal Darkness, Excite(something). But I know to expect none of these. So I’ll settle for a new completely fresh i.p.
Alex X Zion for Switch
Not expecting much. They’ve a lot of big games announced for the rest of the year and I think they will want to push than line up. Maybe a small surprise or two.
Would love : a new IP. New Advance Wars. New Mario Golf. New Pikmin. Metroid Prime Trilogy. Some portable GTA.
I doubt any Pokémon at E3. I feel the direct is to allow for more non Pokémon at E3. I reckon a massive amount of AC
Nintendo will focus on its upcoming 2019 line-up. They always focus on the year ahead. And when you consider that already includes Mario Maker 2, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Luigi’s Mansion and Fire Emblem, I’m really not expecting too much more. Sure, some of those won’t get much focus (especially the first two), but that’s still a lot to talk about.
A little surprise would be nice. I hope for another Ubisoft collaboration and I hope that Retro game hasn’t been cancelled. But anything for 2020, I expect that to appear in a later Direct.
A Microsoft tie-up would be fantastic.
Although it has been nearly 2 years for the Mario team and more than 2 years for the Zelda team. So they’ll have something at some point
Anyone think we will get a tease for the next big Zelda game. It would be ace if next year they could replicate the Switch's first year with a new Mario and Zelda lol.
@MrBlacky Sigh. I feared that might be the case.
@AlternateButtons AND yet another poor (MIS)use of the word literally. Kids today. smh
New 1080 and Wave Race are coming, you heard it heard it from me first folks!
I think I'm going to stop checking on E3 news. I end up expecting more than shown. Like every Direct. I guess not everyone can be satisfied. Or honestly Nintendo doesn't really "bring it". But games I want don't always come to nintendo. Or am I just upset because Sega doesn't bring their cool IP's.....i think that's it. All I need to hear is Shenmue or Skies is coming to Switch and that would be enough for me.
My biggest wish right now is actually just SNES games on Switch. I want to play Super Metroid on Switch so badly.
Also Metroid Prime Trilogy please!
@AlternateButtons You got me sick thinking of another ACAF
What I expect to see:
I keep forgetting about Links Awakening! I cannot wait for this year’s E3.
Expecting Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime Trilogy. Just those two I’ll be happy; any others are icing on the cake! Bonus: N64 or Gamecube games on Switch Online.
I know from experience I should NOT be setting high hopes but how can I not after such a rock solid previous 2 years.
20 SKU's
Animal crossing
Pokemon gen 8 sword
Pokemon gen 8 shield
God eater 3
Astral chain
Demon mackina x
Dragon quest 11s
Sniper elite 3
Doom eternal
Wolfenstien young blood
FIFA 20
DQ builders 2
Bayonetta 3
Luigis Manson 3
NBA20
Pikmin 4
Zelda links awaking
Third party game? Maybe Ubisoft rollerball
Third party game? Maybe Witcher 3
Third party game? Maybe from a Japanese house Capcom, square or bandi
I'm expecting "upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch system" because that's all Nintendo has promised. When you expect something that was never confirmed to make an appearance, you're going to be disappointed when it doesn't make an appearance.
Am I the only one who wants to know who the next Smash DLC characters will be?
Oh yeah, and Pokemon Gun
Aaaaaaaand Wave Race
I don’t need to see anything about Fire Emblem at this point, same for Mario Maker. Plus with a Pokemon Direct in a couple of days I don’t need Sword and Shield at E3 too.
I’d love to hear more on Luigi’s Mansion, Astral Chain and Bayonetta. I really hope we’ll get more info on Town too. And Animal Crossing has to be their big showstopper this year, it just has too. I expect at least one Smash Bros DLC reveal if not two as well.
Pie in the sky hopes would be a Thousand Year Door remake, Pikmin 4, a big new Dillon game (like a proper adventure game), a new Rayman and the obligatory F-Zero wishes.
I really doubt we’ll get anything Metroid given the restart and that’s ok.
Ha! Great video. Thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait to see more from Al and Zee.
F Zero!!! and the next smash fighters
Persona 5 royal for Switch....
GTA V
Resident Evil 2 remake
Final Fantasy VII remake
and that's all!
Every year I hope for Animal Crossing so it’s weird knowing not only will we get to see it but we’ll have it in our grubby mitts by the end of the year. 🥳🎉🎊
For a surprise reveal my moneys on Donkey Kong Country 3.
Apart from those two I’d really like Wave Race.
Oh, and an N64 Mini. 😃🤞
Switch Online: SNES for Switch Online would be really awesome! Super Metroid, Zelda and Super Mario World first.
I was very pleased with Hollow Knight and Fortnite following their E3 Direct last year, so I hope there’s at least one indie game that is super solid and “available now” or “later that day”
Port Choice: A Pikmin or Metroid trilogy port
New Game: Just more details about Zelda Link’s Awakening remake
Surprise DLC: Mario Odyssey 3 or 4 new worlds to explore
I'll go for my usual, new kid Icarus uprising and advance wars please.
But also I'd like Switch online to add the original Mario kart with online gameplay, pretty please.
Personnaly, if they can simply announce when Animal Crossing will be coming to Switch, it'll make me happy.
That, and maybe a revamping of the eshop because it has become incredibly difficult to navigate and find games in there. An ability for buyers to rank games to separate the actual good games from the tons of crap in the store would be a godsend.
Astral chain catches my eye because I have no idea what is going on or how it plays. The concept is interesting, beautiful anime cops summon robot buddies they are literally bonded to in order to fight monsters.
I hope Daemon X Machina cleans up the experience. I felt it's demo flip-flopped. The basic controls felt kind slow, in part because those worlds where huge (read: empty), but the action was often so busy I didn't really follow what was going on or what I was supposed to do.
Pokemon Z ?? lol jkjk i do hope we can go to the kalos region in sword and shield and i want lets go DLC or lets go 2 announced at E3 imagine Lets go Dlc is shadow dropped for 14.99 johto expansion re live gold silver and crystal as you head to the johto region catch all kinds of johto Pokemon and face off against the 8 gym leaders and Elite 4 .
I really want to see Animal Crossing, Pokemon just got another dedicated Direct so it doesn't need anymore attention during E3 Animal Crossing however we know nothing about it so now is the perfect time to show the game
