Raiden V: Director’s Cut is coming to Switch – we knew that already and are are sufficiently excited about the prospect – but it has now been confirmed by publisher UFO that it will be getting a physical release on the system, too.
The catch is that the release will be a single print run, so once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. The package will contain a concept art book and music CD.

I would have to be a huge fan of the game to pay for a Play Asia release, with all the extra costs and all.
@Moroboshi876 Why? Because of the cost? It's an average price for a game.
The selling point for me is the print run. This will be a collectible, even if you open it and enjoy shooters in general.
@Moroboshi876 It’s not a Play Asia exclusive though, so you could still order it elsewhere. It’s listed for US$40 on Amazon.
Any word if Europe is getting a release like the PS4 did?
@cacnea310 @Magrane The problem is if it's not normally distributed in Europe I have to pay customs, so the price skyrockets. I've passed on a lot of Limited Run Games releases (and the likes) for other reasons, though: 40 bucks plus shipping costs for indie games, as much as I love physical games, is too much for me.
I applaud this release, thought, don't get me wrong.
I would order from PlayAsia, but everything I order from them just disappears and I have to request a refund after 60 working days
@Moroboshi876 Yeah I’ve heard that the import costs aren’t bad there, sorry about that. I don’t live in the US either, but the import costs aren’t crazy for me unless I order from Play Asia. Does Amazon UK ever list those as being from the global store?
I didn’t realise before I started collecting Switch games how many games don’t get released globally. Half my collection is made up of imports from the US at this point.
@cacnea310 I'll have to find a way. Well, it would be nice of them to confirm either it's going to come to Europe or it's not. I think they haven't. With Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom they stated it wouldn't be coming to Europe. At least we knew that we had to import it.
Preordered! Thanks for the $3 coupon Nintendo Life.
Ehhhhhhh, I'll stick with my Steam copy. Wasn't that impressed with it either TBH.
Well, i'm glad i preordered now.
I'm glad the physical release isn't a limited release, makes it much easier to find in the wild.
@Moroboshi876 to get the game to the UK and pay customs upfront so that you don't get the extra Royal Mail £8 charge is £43. Not a bad price.
@TurboTEF It's got Mixed reviews on Steam, so I never picked it up. I've never seen publisher UFO release anything that's more than simply functional (but to be fair, I haven't seen their name thrown around in a long time) and that was another red flag in my book.
