Today, Nintendo has kickstarted a brand new video series entitled 'Nintendo Labo - Director Insights', giving fans more info on the company's clever cardboard creations.
Starring Nintendo Labo director, Tsubasa Sakaguchi - who was also the director of the original Splatoon - the series will share "insights about the development of this innovative product line and its latest release, Nintendo Labo: VR Kit". In this first part, Sakaguchi shows off the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Garage and the VR Plaza.
He notes that all of the 64 games featured in the VR Plaza (you can read more about the VR Kit's games in our full review) were created using the Toy-Con Garage. As such, you can go in and edit those games to your liking or try to create new games that follow similar ideas; knowing that you have access to the exact same game development tools as Nintendo is rather cool indeed.
If you're wanting to learn more about Labo, make sure to keep an eye out for more videos in the series.

Hmm... 64 games in the Nintendo VR plaza...
N64 Mini confirmed!
@RickD I’m still playing it. Just going through the main games, I haven’t gone all the way through the plaza or opened up the VR garage yet. I was hyped for the Blaster but built it last so I’ve barely scratched the surface of that. Honestly there’s a lot to do and I’ve played a good few hours with Zelda that kind of sidetracked me from Labo. I actually really like Zelda in VR, I just wish you could see the mini-map.
I’m loving my Labo VR. Taking it slow, building them with my wife and kids. It’s always a thrill when a new conponent is finished.
This was a nice video, but it’s a travesty they didn’t include a function to share VR Labo creations. That would truly inspire people and it would be amazing to see everyone’s work.
@RickD It's a long-term purchase for me, one that I look forward to introducing my kids to but who aren't ready for it yet. So I've only built the goggles and am saving the others for my kids to build. So for now I just play BotW and the plaza games, haven't even tried Garage yet either but will do soon.
Lol at the way the Director considers using the wind pedal to demo something, pauses, and then decides to use the blaster instead. No-one wants that wind pedal ****!
