Today sees the release of three - yes, three - new DLC packs for The Escapists 2 on Nintendo Switch.
All three pieces of DLC have been previously released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, but arrive on Switch for the first time today. You can expect to be breaking out from a variety of unique prisons all over again including a circus, a medieval castle, and an abandoned hospital. We've got screenshots, release info, and blurbs directly from publisher Team17 for you down below.
Big Top Breakout
Release Date: 15th November | Price: £2.79 / $3.99 / €3,99
Expect to find new items to find, craft and use inside this "wacky" prison setting. There's talk of fire, custard pies, and vicious guard poodles in this one - just your typical prison escape, then.
You wake up to suddenly find yourself trapped as a clown in a travelling circus, the ringmaster warden and strongmen guards rule the circus grounds with an iron fist. Forced to perform for the circus visitors’ entertainment, can you perform a vanishing act instead and leave behind the caged animals and dreaded daily circus show for good?

Dungeons and Duct Tape
Release Date: 15th November | Price: £2.79 / $3.99 / €3,99
Once again, this DLC package comes with brand new items to find and use, all in a setting surrounded by a stagnant moat and thick stone walls. Here's the official description:
Welcome to Locke Castle! After keeping armies out for hundreds of years, this repurposed castle now keeps todays serial escapists in. Avoid the heavily armoured guards like the plague and watch out for inmates looking for any excuse to get medieval on you!

Wicked Ward
Release Date: 15th November | Price: £2.79 / $3.99 / €3,99
With all the gameplay elements you've come to expect, this one takes a slightly creepy turn as you explore an abandoned hospital. Read on to find out more:
Things have taken an odd turn in the locked off wings of an abandoned hospital. A mad scientist and his hoard of undead guard their terror-tory within the gothic halls. Outside an ominous sky of thunder, rain and lightning blankets the surrounding woods. Once again, you’ll have to craft, fight and scheme your way to freedom from this spooky supernatural slammer. Your ghoul is to escape at all costs!

All three packs go live on the eShop today (if you can't see them yourself yet, keep checking back), all for the same price points mentioned above.
Will you be taking on some new prison escapes today? Let us know if you're a fan of The Escapists 2 in the comments.

A clown breaking out of a circus gives me the heebee jeebeez.
But still no patch after 11 months to fix the many game breaking bugs,joke!
Nice they continue to support it.
@OorWullie
There was one actually, but Idk if it changed much (didn't launch the game again since).

I'd love them to add an "easy" mode or some kind of guidance so I can go along with the game (and why not get them DLCs) : I really suck at this genre
Yeah "easy" mode would get me to try it out again for sure. As It was now I just ran around aimlessly for five hours then quit. I guess I suck at this game lol.
@Sammich
This doesn't give me hope for myself.
Got it on sale, tried it out once for maybe 10 minutes, was confused what to do, quit and never returned since.
I always think I should try again since it looks so interesting and is supposed to be great, but there are so many games I have, should return to and will buy at the moment...
@Sammich @Tiefseemiez
Try and play it with the Wiki. It helped me get through a few levels : the challenge remains but at least you know what you're supposed to do.
@Powerballad Dude, first off, great screen name, if in fact you dig powerballads...ok, so this girl I know literally has coulrophobia, fear of clowns. It's bad. So one day she driving up the highway going home from work and she looks in her rear view mirror and sees a clown in a car. She had a panic attack right there because she thought the clown was after her. She took the car up to over 90mph to getaway. So yes, a clown breaking out of the circus is bad.
@Joe-b hahaha probably the only time anyone would be happy to pay the speeding ticket.
Powerballad is my nickname on account of the fact I used to have long hair and I've been known to listen to abit of Tina turner lol
Haha! Great! Yah, I'm an 80's metal, glam rock fan to no end. I'm playing Ratt right now. Next is Def Leppard then maybe Cinderella?! Tina, nothing wrong with Tina.
@Tibob I dont think there needs to be an "Easy" mode but they could do a little better with telling you how to actually escape, instead of finding out by your own. When I finally complete a map my grade is an F! for spending a month in Prison!
