Zen Studios Pinball FX3 arguably offers the definitive digital pinball experience. Following the recent news the developer of the title had acquired the much-loved Williams and Bally pinball licence, it's now been revealed Williams Pinball Volume One will arrive on 9th October.
As previously noted, the pack will include Medieval Madness, Junk Yard and The Getaway: High Speed II, and will cost players $9.99 / €9.99 / £8.99. Fish Tales has now been confirmed as a free table for all players.
As noted in the clip above, there will also be remastered versions of the original classic tables that will include interactive 3D characters, side wall art, ball trailer effects and particle effects. To further add the experience, these tables can be played with classic pinball physics or Zen Studio's modern-day physics simulation. The remastered versions are included in the regular DLC pack and will not cost additional money.
Are you still playing Pinball FX3 on the Switch? Will you be purchasing volume one of Williams Pinball when it arrives? Tell us below.

Any word when the 1080p 60fps patch is coming?
@Pichuka97 It already arrived several months ago, May I think it was.
@OorWullie You are right. For some reason I thought it was coming for late 2018
This look so much nicer than the The Pinball Arcade. Having remastered versions of the tables and the option between classic and modern physics is fantastic. I'll definitely be buying this pack.
I have these tables already on The Pinball Arcade but it will be interesting to see how well Pinball FX does them.
This is how you do pinball Farsight! They're catering to both side here, the people that like Zen style and those that prefer the realistic side.
I really do love pinball fx3. Are there anyone who who wanna register fc’s so we can compete for scores?
@Nintex Challenge @Spoony_Tech he's a push over.
I’m also really excited that they are doing classic and Zen style versions of each table.
And I’m no longer disappointed that the Farsight Williams/Bally tables never came to Switch. A lucky escape for my wallet in the end.
@OorWullie Lol, I've been taking a bit of a break since Octopath came out. Pinball and a good rpg don't mix well with me. The time it takes to learn and put up a great score can be as long as an rpg so it becomes a chore at times and I need that break. Usually what gets me back in is the new content!
@JoeDiddley What are you talking about. A good number of the Farsight tables came to the Switch and you can still find some on there now. When they lost the license they had to remove all the tables from the Williams and Bally section just a few months back. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger and buy any really. It all came down to just not really liking the way they played and preferring Zen style over it for me.
You can also look for Stern Pinball as well on the eshop.
@Spoony_Tech I meant the Farsight Williams tables, I’ll edit to include the word.
I already had the Stern Switch collection, and Gottleib on my PSP, so I haven’t bothered with it so far. I was crushed when they lost the Williams licence just as I thought I’d get the tables, but I guess all’s we’ll that ends well (for me personally).
Glad we are getting these, but it seems like it they will be slowly released.
I'm not a pinball aficionado, I just want the Star Wars and Marvel tables. Seems like that's not going to happen though.
Twilight zone, please !!
I don't know, the physics still don't look right to me.
I would try it if they brought out something TPA didn't already have, though.
@Pichuka97 It has already arrived since May 2018. Update your game.
@Nintex Try looking for Hyna or Constantin to participate on our weekly Hyna Gang Tournaments.
Of course Zen did. Awesome.
@JayJ Recreating pinball tables takes a lot of work, and I’m assuming that Zen didn’t start work until sometime after May when the Williams/Bally contract leaving FarSight was announced. Zen also made a whole new physics engine for these new tables, so that took time too. Once they streamline their workflow in regards to digital scanning real table and tweaking settings, I’m sure their output will increase.
Any else find it funny that buying the tables individually is actually cheaper ($2.99 x 3 = $8.97) than buying the volume pack ($9.99 for all three)?
@CaPPa They are doing both fantasy originals and williams/bally tables plus "zenified" versions of williams bally
Zen Pinball FX3 is fantastic on the Nintendo Switch, the setup is spectacular the online is great for me it is far and away the best pinball package I have ever played well worth the price of admission for a pinball fan. My only nitpick is I would love it if they would add/release some of the Marvel and Star Wars tables .
@Dayton311
I noticed that too... I wonder if the tables are actually $3.99 each, or if they pricing mentioned was recorded before they decided to make Fish Tales free... surely this will get corrected before release.
The selection of the first four tables makes more sense now... obvious 3D models for the "zen version" of the tables.
PLEASE put Funhouse and White Water in the next volume! And Circus Voltaire... and maybe Cactus Canyon.
