Mega Man 11! I pre loaded it, and I can't wait!
Still playing Torna. Got me hooked again so prob will do a Game+ of X2.
My bankaccount sent me a "thank-you"-note...
Why are so many games that came out a week ago on this list?
Lightening what? Quest for the what? That's Thunderforce IV, man!
Is it just me or is the price of Mega Man 11 a bit steep? Weren't 9 and 10 a lot less when they launched?
Mega Man 11. I might check out "Rise and Shine"
Megaman 11 woooooooo
@kepsux They were, but they had DLC which upped the price.
MEGAMAN 11!
Haven't voted because I'm in Europe, but I was really surprised when I saw the trailer for Alwa's Awakening. Looks like another great retro indie title.
Wandersong looks fun too, but later.
Why are you guys behind schedule? I already grabbed both Sega Ages & excitebike!! 😲
why isn't the DBZ season pass available yet, even though each piece of DLC is available individually?
I was so hyped that FighterZ was on the way that Megaman 11's release snuck up on me!
As if it wasnt already a challenge keeping up with releases, this fall season is only getting started!
Wandersong seems interesting, but not $20 interesting.
TowerFall, Marble It Up, Mega Man. A+++ week.
Just Mega Man 11 for me. Honestly I've never really been much of a mega man fan, having for whatever reason never been interested on the NES and never got into the series. I'm not sure why but it was probably the box art back then that never drew my interest. But the new one looks interesting and after choking through about a chapter of Mighty No. 9 and running away, I'm ready for the real deal, however damaged Capcom may make it.
Fighter Z would be up there, but that lives on my X1 where my Razer Atrox stick lives since I like it a bit better than my Switch Hori RAP. Wonder if a Brook adapter would let me bring it to Switch though? Hmm....
I just bought Stardew Valley for an upcoming flight to Toronto, I hear great things, and I look forward to getting lost in the gameplay loop
Just downloaded 83mb Dragalia lost, followed by required 1.25GB update. Now to see if my old 4.4.2 tablet will play it. Wish me luck.
prison architect is all i do now
Just Dragon ball fighterZ for me this week. I'll get Mega man 11 when it's $20 or less.
I was going to get Mega Man 11 day 1, but if the demo is any indication, I'm going to hold off until my backlog is done
Seems like bad timing with all these Sega releases after the genesis classic collection was announced.
@Kiyata Because they came out after last week's weekly update.
This list covers Fridays-Thursday releases
@Fake-E-Lee The demo was like quintessential Mega Man. If that annoyed you, you’re not gonna like the full game.
I loved the demo, so I’m more pumped than before.
@Retr0gamedad These Sega Ages releases have bonus features though, so buying the separate games and the collection could be justified.
I thought that kof 2001 was supposed to be out this week?
Nothing for me.
Marble it Up for sure, I’ve missed games like this.
There. Excitebike finally showed up!
@Fake-E-Lee I getcha.
And 300 games on Switch?! Wow, dude!
The retro games... why... why the delay week after week after week after blipping week?? First Hamster, now Sega Ages!!? What in the heckfire, Nintendo?
Y’all better get Alwa’s Awakening! Also, ya’ll better believe I’m buying Alwa’s Awakening.
....ya’ll....
Great week!
Has anyone played alwas awakening. The game looks great and next to megaman it's at the top of my list this week but i want to hear from other players since an NL review isn't out yet..
@Alto haha i just posted my comment then saw yours. Have you played it before ?
Marble It Up looks surprisingly fun. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting that. Might wait for a review though.
I preordered DragonBall Fighter Z. Unfortunately, it releases tomorrow, and I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow.
Sigh... this situation literally ALWAYS happens when I pre-order something. At least I'll get a neat SNES game for my trouble... which I already own... and it's not nearly the best version of it... sigh....
Nothing for me this week. Waiting on the big guns, Pokémon and Smashamari Damacy
I have Valky4 (switch) unwrapped. Still on DQXI and Torna
My cousin in Spain gave me FiFa19 for PC as a gift. So sitting that out on consoles this round.
Canceled my MM11 pre-order. No time for it right now.
@SmaMan if you connect to wifi at all on your trip, your game will unlock.
Double dipping on FighterZ, hardly turn on my PS4 for anything that doesn't require me sitting there a minute so I never play it there - MM11 Demo bored me a ton - have all my the other MM games as digital, so I'll get that as digital when it goes on sale. If MM get rave reviews I'll buy it before a sale.
Why no 3ds games?
@imgrowinglegs
SmaMan is prob saying they preordered at retail and then the trip happened. Most places only will hold it for a week at most.
@Fake-E-Lee Same here - MM11 demo...maybe it was JUST that level...but it was so bland with a couple really nice enemy character animations that I have zero excitement for it and waiting on more reviews (MM and Castlevania were my THING even over Mario or Zelda back in the day). The gears mechanics are cool, but Flinthook did it way better.
Nothing that strikes my fancy this week - pheeeew ^^
I've got VC4 wrapped. Digging into Torna. Preordering MM11, buying Towerfall, and preloaded DBFZ. Anyone know when DBFZ unlocks? Is it Midnight EST, or do we have to wait till morning?
I got south park stick of truth on Tuesday
@Dang69 @imgrowinglegs
RIght. I pre-ordered at Best Buy because I like having the physical release when possible. I get back Monday so they should still have it then.
It's mostly more of a "this is why I don't pre-order very often" type thing.
We're buying FIFA for Switch this year, not PS4.
I'm also fairly certain we'll pick up Marble!
Mega Man 11 is 40 bucks here in Canada, and that is way too steep a price. I like Mega Man but not that much.
@Fake-E-Lee sounds good thanks for the info. To me it has a lot of shades of zelda 2 which is a good thing. I Just hope there's more direction in this game than zelda 2 had. Plus it's only 10 bones so it's not like I'll break the bank to give it a shot. Just trying to weigh my options here as I am still wanting to try messenger and undertale.. maybe I'll just bite the bullet and hit download when i get home from work tonight.
Surprised Dragonball Fighterz isn’t higher with all the commotion and calls for the game to come to Switch. It’s the only game I’m getting this week.
@SmaMan Most those places, if you call after a day or 2 and tell them you'll be late, they'll put a note on it. They don't want to lose the sale.
@SmaMan haha, oops. Sorry I totally forget that I’m the “all-digital” weirdo on this page. I don’t know many who buy physical Switch games besides the commenters here.
MM11 is ordered through Amazon, pushing through Octopath Travelerer this weekend to beat it hopefully. Then onward to the rest of my backlog. I plan to play all the way through MM11 since I'm off work next week for vacation.
8$ for Sega Ages games hurray.... You can download these games for free on the app store.
Nothing for me this week (will get FIFA eventually). I downloaded The End is Nigh earlier this week for $5 and started it last night. Man, I love this game so much, can't believe I skipped it previously.
I will get Marble It Up because it sounds very close to Super Monkey Ball (naturally) and I miss that game. Will also get FIFA 19 physically. Picked up Sega Ages Sonic last weekend.
@imgrowinglegs
Nothing wrong with that. Heck, my whole WiiU collection was stolen a few years ago, and the digital stuff was the only things easily recovered. I probably should buy more digital.
So Sega is giving the US Thunder Force IV under its original release name that few remember and even fewer like?
So this week Hamster is releasing the actual arcade version of Excitebike while the Wii U got the FDS port and 3DS got neither?
I can't remember, was Clu Clu Land released? I remember that was the other arcade (VS.) game that got a FDS port different than the cartridge release.
Lots of good stuff yet AGAIN. I'm so proud my my backlog lol. Time for another round of BBRP! (Buy-Backlog-Rent-Pass)
SEGA AGES Thunder Force IV — This is one sexy looking horizontal shmup. It's the horizontal shmup "I" like, and gives me the R-Type feelies. That's a GREAT thing. I may instabuy... haven't decided. But I'll backlog for now and if a sale comes I can't resist, then I'll buy.
Mega Man 11 — It's Mega Man. Nuff said. I'll be renting this and looking forward to playing it.
Arena of Valor — I sampled it and feel it "can" hold my attention, but I just don't have the desire to dedicate myself to these types of online experiences. Soon, MHGU is going to take that lone online spot. Another time perhaps, so pass for now.
ACA NEOGEO CYBER-LIP — Like many classic games in my backlog, this too shall join it. It looks like Contra, and it's 2P co-op which automatically grabs my attention.
Arcade Archives Excitebike — Big sigh on this one. Its Excitebike "arcade edition", without Vs. or track design, and, it kinda makes sense from an arcade perspective, so I can't be too mad about it. But that then tells me that both NES Excitebike and Vs. Excitebike are superior in one way or the other. I'd like to get this in the name of science, but I'll pass on this for now (maybe a review could sway that).
EDIT:
Alwa's Awakening — Somehow I left this off, so here's my edit. Retro 8-bit, but retro 8-bit done well. This will get played for sure, just like The Messenger (which sadly is also backlogged). I'm playing so much right now, and I want this to be an instabuy, but I'll backlog it, awaiting a sale.
Nothing for me right now, I just bought the Telltale Batman and Puyo Puyo Tetris this week and I'm probably ordering Golf Story from LRG tomorrow.
@w00dm4n actually there were at least one or two on that list that came out last Thursday.
I can't wait for Mega Man 11. After that Darksouls Remastered will be my next game. I may pick up DB Fighterz. Still haven't decided.
What happens when red dead 2 comes out? The new 48 hour day family pass for $77.00? Gone are the days that were just 24 hours
@KingMike Arcade Archives Excitebike, ACA NeoGeo Cyber-Lip Sega Ages Lightening Force, and Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog, were actually released in US last week (latter three on Thursday, Excitebike on Friday), but the press releases on various sites don't announce them until the week after they were released for the US. Nintendolife and other sites haven't corrected this error and now the trend is continuing for Sega Ages. ugh.
Ooof. That's a lot of stuff i want to play but don't have the time for...
This is great a lot of great games right on my Birthday!
Sonic & Mega Man... Can't get any better than that.
Forget the one reason I even remember Cyber-Lip (I believe it was a run-and-gun game) was when people spread around SNK's sexy original advertising for the game. (a lady that was like "ever since he found that game he's kept his hands off me")
I checked Mega Man 11, but I ordered it in cart form before Amazon Prime abandoned their pre-order discounts on video games. 23.99, I believe.
Buying FIFA19 although the lack of improvements to make FUT more equal to the other versions is really dissappointing. The new house rules mode looks fun, but the main reason to buy this years FIFA is that you can now play online with friends!
I've been outright ADDICTED to Risk of Rain
