The latest Nindie showcase certainly delivered in terms of crazy concepts. One hilarious game in particular announced was King of the Hat by Hyroglyphik Games. The premise is simple - if you lose your hat you die.
In this party game, matches are short and action-packed, with the gameplay perfect for local multiplayer on the couch, or when you're out and about. There's even online multiplayer with a ranked mode to decide the hat king of the world. The game also promises to be easy to play with its simple two-button controls.

Not gonna lie. This was one of the least interesting titles in the Direct for me.
But the idea of playing as a washing machine did give me a laugh.

@benpalevsky Hey, sorry if my comment came off as harsh. It's not that anything really looked bad, in fact it looks totally decent, it just doesn't hook me. And that's kind of the problem. There are a lot of solid indies on Switch now, a lot of decent and even above average games. To win me over, I need something that really hooks me and stands out. And in this video at least, there wasn't anything like that.
Put the game in front of me and I am sure I'd have some fun with it. But at the moment, nothing catches my attention enough to make me get it. Maybe a future video will change my mind. Totally possible.
