With Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate seemingly never getting a western release (it arrived in Japan Switch in late 2017), Omega Force and Koei Tecmo will fill that Dynasty Warriors-style gap with its much-anticipated sequel - Warriors Orochi 4.
The sandbox battles will include 170 playable characters from the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors universes, as well as the inaugural arrival of magical powers in the series. So now there are even more ways to beat up an entire crowd of spear-wielding enemies. Check out the game's new trailer below.
So the Japan-set battles of the Warriors Orochi series are finally coming to Nintendo Switch, and in 2018 no less. Let us know what you make of this new addition to the Switch family in the comments below...

Sandbox? More like open-world like Dynasty Warriors 9? This Warriors Orochi 4 would probably never have open-world type gameplay.
I was hoping for Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate as I never got a chance to play it, but we'll see how 4 reviews.

As someone who's been holding out, I might actually dip into this one since it appears to be the real thing. Definitely a wait-and-see though.
@Gamerhenky It's stage based like the prior WO games and other typical Warriors. Not Open World like DW9.
I really like Warriors games so this is good news for me.
@XenoShaun Yeah i know that WO4 is stage based like past titles, but this article seems i don't understand what they saying.
@Gamerhenky No clue either, battles will likely be linier mission based like majority of the games (and from what's been seen so far).
Just thought I'd mention as there has been a lot of jumping the guns on people assuming this will be an Open World mess again.
Finally the real deal are coming, still need more Dynasty and Samurai Warriors as well though.
I wanna see Nintendo Warriors. Basically a Warriors version of Smash Bros. I'd settle for Warriors Orochi x Hyrule Warriors x Fire Emblem Warriors

Kind of funny, they had warriors 3 for the Wii u in the west. They could have had it for the switch in the west, but I am looking forward to 4
I'm a sucker for all Warriors games, so this is day one for me Never even came remotely close to completing a Zelda game until Hyrule Warriors, and had never played a Fire Emblem game in my life until Fire Emblem Warriors. Bung them in a Warriors game though and I want it lol.

Having been obsessed with Hyrule Warriors since its release, I may have to check this out. I think my next Musou game will be Fire Emblem Warriors, but I'm glad another one is coming to the Switch.
