Sonic is easily one of the most appealing video game characters ever created, and like his erstwhile rival Mario, has made his way onto plenty of questionable merchandise over the years. However, one product we perhaps weren't expecting was a pair of Puma trainers featuring imagery associated with the Blue Blur himself.
The legendary sporting brand is about to release not one but two pairs of Sonic-themed sneakers: the RS-0 Sonic and the RS-0 Dr Eggman. The first takes inspiration from Green Hill Zone and is a rather loud mix of greens and blues, while the latter is a bright red pair, based on Sonic's mortal enemy.
Costing $130 (around £100) and arriving on 5th June, these trainers will certainly ensure that people see you coming. Let us know if you'll be ordering a pair by posting a comment below.

That's a....busy design? Too many ideas on one shoe for me
It is better than some blue shoes that say "Gotta Go Fast" though, so at least that's something.
Yeah there is no way I would wear those, but it seems perfect for a little kid.

People missing the point a bit? These likely aren't to be worn, but something similar to collecting rare albeit bad videogames. Not to play them but own something rare and 'valuable'. Having said that, I won't be buying said trainers AND only buy videogames I'm genuinely interested in playing myself.
Of course people won't wear it if the speed isn't included

They're not as bad as I thought they would be. Puma makes a great product in my opinion. I might wear them but probably not at $130.
I would love it and wear it and treat it like a sneaker head would...but I can't spend that cash on a shoe.
They are good, much better than any Mario shoes for sure. The best pop culture product into a sneakers are the Adidas Luke Skywalker (and maybe the Storm Trooper ones)
I prefer the upcoming Adidas/Dragonball trainers instead. These are not bad tho.

I'd rather wear shoes designed by Rarity. Those would be fabulous for Bronies! Maybe make my own shoes, out of leather, cloth and steel. If you're a crappy guy, they're for you. Might be better off with red sneakers that actually look like Sonic's, if anything. Might be better to get some cheap less-than-$20 shoes over at Walmart that last for a few months, because I'm on a limited budget, and I would rather save my money for either an NES Classic Edition or if I can't get that, a Raspberry Pi, and post it on Social Media to spite Nintendo, and take away Nintendo's, and to an extent, AtGames' Customers! I don't care if it incites a trade war with China! I'm doing what Trump wants me to do! And if I go to a nudist campground to expect sexual favors, then I hope to get arrested!
