A few days ago, we shared with you a teaser from Nintendo of Japan showing off a silhouette of one of the characters planned for an inclusion in the upcoming summer update that’ll be adding in more Dream Friends to Kirby Star Allies. There were plenty of good guesses as to who the character would be, and now Nintendo of Japan has revealed that the silhouette was showing off none other than Daroach.
Daroach first made an appearance in Kirby Squeak Squad as the leader of the eponymous gang of misfits, and he later made another appearance in more of a supporting role in Kirby Mass Attack. Though no gameplay has been shown off yet, we have gotten a first look at his model in-game. Hopefully the wait won’t be too much longer before the update goes out, Daroach could potentially have a very interesting moveset.
What do you think? Are you glad Daroach got included? What other characters would you like to see in the update? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

This is exactly like "It's Jigglypuff seen from above!"
He's looking weirdly flat and texture-less. Hopefully it's more of a work in progress than anything.
I’d like these updates to add more levels or something though, I’ve held off on getting this because it just looks too short for a full price game... I mean most Kirby games are but still...
@ShadJV if you the guest star story mode they have completely dif levels from story mode and are long they even made more new ones for the new dream pals update 1 so there is a good chance they will make more new ones.
@ShadJV Ya the Guest Mode allows you to play through the story mode with the side characters being the main character. And so far every DLC character has had new levels and even changes to existing levels. While its nothing big, it does make each playthrough with the Dream Friends feel unique.
My kids will be happy with this. It adds to the replayability.
Gotta love all the free updates Nintendo gives. My children and I have gotten so much from the added characters in Kirby, ARMS and all the Splatoon 2 updates. I know they have added some DLC for bigger updates, but Nintendo is very good at giving out free stuff in their games.
Most other games put micro transactions into everything. A new car on Rocket League being £1.50 for example.
@ShadJV It's really not as short as people keep saying. My wife and I took close to 10 hours to beat the main campaign, getting all the collectables, messing around with power combinations and dream friends etc.
The post game content also adds quite a bit to this. Even of you only do the bare minimum of the post game stuff it should still add another couple hours of play. If you do it all... Maybe 20 extra hours to complete everything?
Even just considering the main story mode though my wife and I were totally satisfied with our purchase.
@-DG Agree. My son and I are at 98% completion (with only the top level of the boss rush mode to beat) and have put in at least 20 hours. I have to admit, I'm getting to the point where I've about had enough, but it was a really fun ride! And the little ones are just enamored with the game.
Cool to see Daroach being added. Like others have said it looks a bit unfinished. Daroach is one of the only good things to come out of Squeak Squad imo (it's a mediocre kirby game truth be told)
I wanted Daroach and guess what i got him
the reason i wanted daroch is because kirby squeak squad was my first kirby game and i thought that daroach would have an intreresting move set if added
"You may hear me prattle about the same things. It’s just that I’m a single-minded sort of rogue."
