The weekend is finally here, so it's time to grab a few precious moments of free time and fire up your favourite Nintendo console for a little R&R. This week, Team Nintendo Life are playing action-RPGs, cutesy detective sims, virtual pinball tables, retro shmups, horror romps and, of course, Splatoon 2. As always, feel free to leave a vote in the poll and a comment below sharing your gaming choices this weekend. Have a good one!

I was initially quite excited to play one of my favourite Japan-only games, Phantasy Star Online 2 on my Switch this weekend, but it just isn't all that great. Instead, I'm going to finish up my import copy of Hyrule Warriors DX, then show my 3DS a little love with Detective Pikachu. If that isn't enough to carry me through the weekend, I'll likely pick up Mercenary Kings and try that out on the Switch. I loved it on other platforms, but it always felt like it'd be better as a portable title. Now if only Pocket Rumble and Street Fighter would release already...
Alex Olney, video producer
I'm off to IKEA at the weekend and I'm driving, so I won't have any time to play at all tomorrow. When Sunday rolls around though you can bet your sweet collective bottoms I'm going to be playing some more ARMS. Don't know what it is but recently that game's suckered me right back in, and I'm loving every second of it. I need to improve my Helix play but I'm getting there.

Lately I’ve been hanging out with Far Cry 5 and Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin on Xbox One, but this weekend I’m shifting gears and catching air with Urban Trial Playground on Switch. I played through the first game in the series and thought it was decent enough, and being a huge fan of RedLynx’s Trials games, this seemed to be an obvious choice. If I’m not too busy, it would be wonderful to flip over to the Bethesda Pinball tables that were recently added to Pinball FX3. Also, Morgan told me Dragon Blaze reminds him of Mushihimesama, so how the heck could I say no to that?
Dom Reseigh-Lincoln, editor
It's going to be a typically busy weekend in the Reseigh-Lincoln household this week, so I'll be gaming lightly over the next few days, but I'm hoping to jump back into Yo-Kai Watch with my eldest as he's really fallen in love with its cutesy world and oddball creatures. It's only a matter of time before his love of Pokemon cards translates into the games themselves...
I might just be firing up a classic PS1 trilogy involving a certain purple dragon. Sure, it's not technically going to be on a Nintendo platform, but it'll be portable, I can promise you that much at least...
Glen Fox, guides editor
Still playing and adoring Skyrim, but I decided to take a little break from it this week and dig into Resident Evil Revelations 2. It’s the only canonical entry in the long-running horror franchise that I haven’t played yet and, once again, the Switch provided a perfect excuse to finally get around to it. I’m super impressed with it so far. People rave about Resident Evil 7, and rightly so, but the resurgence really started with the Revelations – they strike a great balance between classic Resi and the action-oriented style we first saw in Resi 4. Revelations 2 even improves on it in a number of different areas, like allowing you to move and shoot, evade, and melee with ease.
Capcom’s also done a fantastic job with the port. Not only does it look great, but it also appears to run in 60fps which is a welcome treat. What I’m not so into though, are the motion controls. While I appreciate being able to adjust my aim in Skyrim and Breath of the Wild, I’m not digging full motion controls in DOOM or Revelations 2. It just doesn’t feel quite right, and I always end up reaching for the Pro Controller instead.

Wrestlemania 34 is upon us, brother! As tradition mandates, I will be simulating all the main matches in the latest entry from WWE games available thus tragically that means… oh yeah, you guessed it, WWE 2K18 is on the cards this weekend. Why do I do this to myself? Woo! Tube Sliders was one of the few GameCube US imports missing from my collection so after securing a decently priced copy a few weeks ago it has arrived safely and I will be giving it a proper spin.
Psikyo’s finest Tengai and Dragon Blaze will continue to keep my arcade roots strong and I am still throwing virtual currency down the gashapon machines in Gotcha Racing 2nd (no, I don’t have an addiction problem! I can stop at any time… maybe). There is also some sort of corn-related Splatfest drama going on in Europe so I too will be checking that out.
Ryan Craddock, news reporter
If I’m being realistic, most of this weekend will be spent taking part in an endless amount of Splatfest matches in Splatoon 2 (#TeamSweet), allowing me to simultaneously gather up some of those ever-useful Sea Snails while accidentally ignoring my friends and family for 24 hours.
I’ll also make sure to take some time out to explore The Adventure Pals – a game that I’ll be reviewing for you lovely lot. I really like platformers, and I really like giraffes, so all going well I’ll enjoy my time with the game. We’ll make sure to bring you our definitive verdict in the coming days!

There’s a big party happening round my friends house tomorrow and I’ve been tasked with the job of bringing my Switch controllers, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a crate of beer. Needless to say, they didn’t have too much trouble twisting my arm. As well as a few lethal games of ‘Beerio Kart’, I’m currently reviewing Masters Of Anima so I’ll be delving deeper into that (review coming soon!). I’m packing up my flat in preparation to move home next week so that means Splatoon 2 will have to take a back seat for once, which is a shame as it’s the Sweet Vs. Salty Popcorn Splatfest in Europe this weekend!
Jon Cousins, Japan correspondent
Apart from waking up early (l was still a bit late) to take part in the Nintendo Life April Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament, I thought I'd go back and pick up two old gems on sale on the eShop this week. The first is Tumblestone. I'd never even heard of it, but someone on my friends list plays it constantly and I consider myself pretty decent at Tetris-style games (but doesn't everyone?!). At almost the complete opposite end of the scale is Oxenfree. It looks cool, I've heard a lot about it and have always been intrigued, now there is no excuse.

My Sega Genesis
1. Skyrim Switch
2. Some Castlevanias on my GBA SP
Soft resetting Pokemon Ultra Sun to get the right natures for 6 gift Pokemon. If I manage it I might even play the game. 😅
I'll be playing DOOM on Switch and Xeodrifter, which I downloaded from the Switch eShop this week. Really enjoying it so far!
SMT: Persona 3 FES, actually. Thou, wanna buy Bayo Special Edition today
Xenoblade 2, I just got all the blades (including NG+) yesterday and now I'm maxing all the affinity charts. It's gonna take some time
I started playing axiom verge the other day, which is excellent! This is my first foray into the metroidvania genre apart from Metroid Fusion, and I'm having a blast with it!
Alex somehow tricked me into buying ARMS. It being on sale may have had something to do with it. But I also found myself pleasantly surprised by how much fun it is, so if I manage to find any free time this weekend, I'll totally be playing that. Or, more realistically, sleeping.
Membrane, and maybe a bit of Oxenfree.
First up finishing Golf Story and get some gymbadges on Pokemon SoulSilver.
I grabbed Skylanders Imaginators on clearance. Pretty damn fun so far. Urban Trials in between sessions, and some Payday 2 as always. Doing some Let's plays of Skies of Fury DX and Adventure Pals too. I like Skies so far.
Bought Skyrim two weeks ago and wow is it great. Now I understand what all the fuss about elder scrolls was. Come on Bethesda, announce ES6 and bring it to Switch!
I finally bought mario + rabbits. Love xcom, so really looking forward to this game.
@BranJ0 Axiom Verge is really awesome.
Ni no Kuni 2 on PS4 and Owlboy on Switch for me. I'm quite impressed with Owlboy so far, actually.
@kyleforrester87 I know, I really wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near as good as it is.
It's also good for me as a slightly lighter game, since I've just finished off both Persona 5 and Breath of the Wild after playing them both for a very long time, so it's nice to play a game that I know I'm not going to have to dedicate hundreds of hours to!
I am Setsuna (Switch)
Rocket League (Switch)
Final Fantasy XIV (PC)
Devil May Cry HD Collection (PC)
1. Portal Knights Switch
I was Really Upset for Still Unable beat Ice Dragon so many times from Ice Relic.
How the Heck i beat Ice Dragon (Boss) ?!
Grrrr....
Btw, at the same time , I was Terraforming some Vacant Islands.
2. ARMS
Online play as usual
3. The Sims 4 PS4
Well, Finally. I can take home my White PS4 Slim 500GB tomorrow after being Updated from my local gameshop.
@BranJ0 yeah I actually played it in conjunction with Destiny 1 and it was the perfect breather.
This weekend I shall be playing:
1) Steamworld Dig 2 (3DS)
2) Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS)
3) Monster Hunter: Stories (3DS)
4) Splatoon 2 (Switch)
5) Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane (PS4)
I bought a New 3DS XL (Samus Edition) a month or so ago, and I absolutely love it. Great, great console.
I'll be playing Elder Scrolls Online this weekend. I'm hoping it'll eventually come to the Switch too. That'd be pretty awesome 😆
Rocket league with family and friends
rocket league and shovel knight on switch and resident evil remake on gamecube, fun times
On my Switch:
Doom
Hammerwatch
Kirby with the kids
Finishing Axiom Verge, I bought the Multiverse Edition for the awesome soundtrack.
On my 360
The Darkness 2
I will also pick a game from either my Original Xbox, Cube or N64.
I've invested in a GB Micro for the first time, and picked up a bunch of old GBA titles on Ebay. Currently playing through the gen 3 Pokemon games in an attempt to complete a gen 3 pokedex, as well as Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. It was a surprisingly good brawler, despite the prequel trilogy tie-in.
Also played Celeste.
I hope I can play some Splatoon2 during the splatfest and I want to finish the MHST post-game. But I also need to do some things for my studies.
Pokémon Shuffle - Still playing, almost done with the main stages.
Letter Quest Remastered - Recently picked up, I really enjoy word games.
Rocket League - Played a little to see how much the visuals have changed since I last played and now I'm kind of hooked again.
L.A. Noire - Bought it today. Currently downloading the part that is not on the cartridge.
AOT2.played a little bit but dont realy like it .but i will give it a second chance this weekend
The Doom and Skyrim pinball tables in FX3, the free Pinball Arcade table and hopefully some Isaac for me.
WWE 2K18, Rayman Legends Definitive and Mario+Rabbids.
I'm on a PS4 binch. This weekend I'm finishing Uncharted 3 and starting Life is Strange, or The Last Guardian.
Still a lot of ultra moon while stuck in Queen Elizabeth's Birmingham. Up to 420 hours now....
Breath of the Wild
Yoshi’s Universal Gravitation
I play VOEZ this weekend celebrating Easter time with music.
Fire Emblem Warriors. Just need to complete the Endgame then its time to get started on History Mode.
Will probably play some Trials as well.
I had a lot of duplicate accesories (wii sensor bar’s, nunchucks, old ps move controllers etc) so I traded it in at CEX nl, with that money I bought mario and luigi superstar saga + bowser’s minions, monster hunter stories and kirby planet robobot.
So that’s what I’ll be playing this weekend.
#NoThing
Been putting some proper time into LEGO Worlds these last few days. As a simple building sandbox game it's great fun.
BotW. Still BotW.
Ports, ports and more ports on a machine that was supposed to have fallen off a cliff last May.
I think I'm wither going to continue playing Kirby SA or dust off Zeldy BotW. I've fallen back in love with Zeldy. Despite so many PS4, Xbone, Switch and 3DS games.. I keep it in rotation.
Splatoon 2 splat fest then get lvl 150 with Navarre on Fire emblem warriors. Then try and s rank the last 2 missions on it. It will be complete sooon!!
Atelier Lydie and Suelle and maybe some Splatoon 2.
I finally started playing Skyrim for the first time! I’m a lizard man!
I eagerly await the Masters of Anima review. Pikmin is easily my favourite Nintendo franchise and hopefully this scratches the itch until Pikmin 4 (hoping for an E3 announcement).
This weekend I'll definitely be playing FortNite on PS4. Other than that I should start one of the games I bought on sale recently, Steamworld Dig, Steamworld Heist, Xeodrifter, or LetterQuest. I'll probably blast through Xeodrifter to remove from my backlog.
Spla2oon and Stardew Valley.
Just started la noire. Still trying to complete mutant muds super challenge!
Pokémon Ultra Moon, New Leaf and playing the demo for Detective Pikachu (to see if I want it). No Switch gaming until I can afford to buy new Joy Cons.
You can't just dish PSO2 without an official review.
Dragon Quest Builders, Doom and some new demos I just downloaded.
Scaring myself with Doom and maybe a little more Axiom Verge.
Someone here mentioned Golf Story, that could be a nice counter balance. I need to finish it but I got stuck/off track....maybe time to start it over
Getting further into Etrian Odyssey V and working to platinum Danganronpa V3.
Playing through World to the West on Switch, as well as Worms WMD.
I also justvstartedcGrabbedby the Ghouluesob Rare Replay, Xbox One
Started Zelda BotW from scratch and some Sweet Splatoon. Gotta do my bit.
Just started playing "Do you want to see my Sausage" down in Oxford Street.
Painting a bedroom and prepping for new flooring, so I won’t get any gaming done at home this weekend, however, after reading the news this morning of the SNK Collection; I’m definitely going to my barcade tonight after the kids are asleep to play Victory Road. I was always pretty miserable at rotary stick games, but I played it a couple weeks ago and had a decent run. I’m going to grab a stool and a powerful IPA, and play until I’m good.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Some new dlc quests were released this week.
I am still chipping away at 9 parchments and horizon zero dawn. But my son and I decided we would put some time into mario rpg and attempt to beat it. He is 7 and has never played it.
Breath of the wild. That game has sucked me back in
Still NinoKuni2 and Alliance Alive (mostly on my commute). Great games!
ROCKET LEAGUE
Stardew Valley while I get my car serviced and Splatoon 2 when I get home later.
other than continuing Detective Pikachu on 3ds, I'll probably be playing some undetermined indie games on steam (or reading visual novels)
I'll be defending Sweet Popcorn over here in Europe's Splatfest!
I beat the main story of Celeste this week, so this weekend will consist of Splatoon 2 (Team Soccer!), ARMS probably, and surprisingly Pokkén Tournament DX.
WOAH HEY PEOPLE STILL LIKE YO-KAI WATCH!!! Yes! I knew the franchise wasn't (completely) dead!
Edit: Everyone have a safe, fun, and blessed weekend! 😊
Stunlock Studios just announced details about their Battlerite Pro League qualifiers. Though I am in my 30s and probably won't have the same chances to qualify, I'm entering to at least have some fun and push more competitive play anyway.
Finally got my hands on a decently priced copy of lost sphear so that will be the game I will be playing for the next days/weeks while waiting for tropical freeze
I'm expecting a lot of my gaming time this weekend to be stuffed full of RPGs! I'm hoping to (finally) finish Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. If all goes well there, I'll be starting a new RPG; I'm debating between Chrono Trigger (DS) and Bravely Second: End Layer.
If I need a break from storied shenanigans, I might sneak in a session or two of Super Mario 64 on my Wii U.
I don't have much time this weekend, but I'm hoping to play some Wolfenstein 2.
@MH4
"WOAH HEY PEOPLE STILL LIKE YO-KAI WATCH!!! Yes! I knew the franchise wasn't (completely) dead!"
I hope Yokai Watch 3 Sushi / Tempura released in English version for 3DS before the end of 3DS era. Last chance.
Playing some Payday 2, Splatoon 2 and Skyrim this weekend. I don’t have a very busy weekend ahead, and I’m soooo looking forward to that. Doesn’t always happen.
Well it is a splatfest weekend
Nintendo 3DS:
New Super Mario Bros. 2 - Been having a blast playing co-op with my daughter, we are hoping to get through 2 or 3 more worlds this weekend.
Windows Phone:
Make It Rain: The Love of Money
Angry Birds Star Wars
Final Fantasy X on PS Vita and PS TV. Vita when I am on the go and PS TV when I'm not.
Will definitely get in a little Splatfest action. I love that those keep giving me a reason to get back into Splatoon. And I'll inevitably play DOOM - specifically, the VEGA Central Processing level on Ultra-Nightmare in Arcade mode. A buddy and I keep trading high scores on that one, and it's my turn to outdo his ~11.88 million.
I finally got all the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic Mania, so I hope to return to that game at some point this weekend to complete the true ending!
I always seem to go back to Binding of Isaac: Rebirth despite having Splatoon 2, which I've barely dug into. Also, Darkest Dungeon has been eating so much of my life.
@Anti-Matter Indeed! Me too!
I'm hoping for a Switch installment as well, and also that Yo-Kai Watch Busters gets localized.
1. Atelier Sophie (Steam)
2. Zelda BOTW (Switch)
3. Resident Evil Revelations (Switch)
4. Fifa 18 (Switch)
5. Uncharted 2 (PS4)
I hope to have time to play them all o/
Just collecting some moons in Odyssey.
Persona 5 has been taking most of my gaming time as of late on PS4. But for Switch I did recently get Bad Dudes and Tengai. Might throw in some Mario Kart 8 and Arms too. And I’m watching Wrestlemania too.
Probably rocket league and kirby on switch and maybe cod ww2 on xb1.
Mlb 18 the show
Splatoon 2 for me! #TeamBaseball
Might play a little bit of Rocket League
Gonna try to pop in for Splatfest, been catching up on event stuff for Monster Hunter World for the festival. Got lots of low rank rarities that I’ll probably never use, like the Ryu set. Started enjoying Mario and Rabbids last week a bit more. But really this weekend is filled with art I’m behind on, my crap job, and time with my new girlfriend. I need a clone.
For me it'll be Celeste and possibly splatoon 2 since I recently got a switch. Celeste controls perfectly and the level design is amazing. I'm hoping to join up in the splatfest this weekend. I missed splatfests in splatoon 1 since I got that game in late 2016 so I want to experience what it's like to participate in one
@KingdomHeartsFan what's your favorite kh game. It's a tie for me between 2 and bbs though in terms of narrative I actually like chain of memories the most. (I'm also one of the few people who actually like the card combat system)
Splatoon 2 for me. Trying to get into shooters again. Good place to start, right?
I think I'm close to the end of "I am Setsuna", which I have really enjoyed so far! I also just started "Alliane Alive" on 3ds, so I'm knee deep in JRPG goodness!
I've almost 100% Super Mario Odyssey but there's ONE Power Moon in the Metro Kingdom I cannot get... I bet you can guess which one. Any help or tips, please?!
@Tyranexx Oh! Both Chrono and Bravely are great choices. Also, if you've never played it, I highly recommend Radiant Historia. It's one of the best JRPGs in my humble opinion.
Disgaea 5 and Crypt of the Necrodancer.
Im gonna play detective pikachu and Kirby star allies.
Haven't touched my switch in two weeks, instead I finally set my psv with a 200 GB micro SD via the game card adapter and I'm now doing my fourth playthrough of Freedom Wars, as well as playing drums uncensored Manhunt 2 and homebrew ports of quake 2 and half life.
Cya
Raziel-chan
Alliance Alive, Star Ocean Last Hope, and DB Fighter Z
Wolfenstein the new order so I’ll be caught up for Wolfenstein 2 when it lands on the switch
@KingdomHeartsFan OK thank you, I'll try that!
Playing Billy Hatcher & The Giant Egg. Some might say it's an eggcellent game!
@nin10doom: I'm still not 100% sure, but I'm leaning towards Chrono Trigger at present. I've never played it before, and I've heard nothing but praise for the game. I was lucky to snag a copy off of Square Enix's online store when they were running a sale last year.
I've also never played Radiant Historia but have also heard great things! I might pick it up at some point; my backlog is already quite clogged with RPGs at the present time! XD
Splatoon 2 and xenoblade chronicles 2
Earth Atlantis, Dragon Blaze, Strikers 1945 II
Monster Hunter has the blossom festival going on so that and Dragon Sinker on Switch, plus some other randomness.
Finally bought Snake Pass on its 50% off sale. Hope it's good!
I'll be playing the new Bethesda tables on Pinball FX3. Also some Splatoon, Rocket League, Doom, and Skyrim.
Splatoon 2. Phantasy Star 2 and Adventure Pals aren't out for me. And I refuse to support japanese versions purely because I don't want to have to struggle through japanese or rely on guides to understand whats going on. When they bring Phantasy Star 2 over to the UK, thats when I'll show them my support. Adventure Pals comes out next Thursday though, so there's that.
Gba games!
Splatoon 2 (Team Baseball) and probably will pick up Stardew Valley.
Great choice for this topic pic, since it's last game that i bought. At least for now
Enter The Gungeon again this weekend! I keep edging myself closer and closer to a complete run and I have a blast doing it! You couldn't ask for more!
With thumbnails like this and Wolfenstein II on the main page, you'd think it's Halloween.
Playing Dragon Quest Builders here!
Not much gaming for me this weekend since it's WrestleMania weekend. If I do get a moment to play anything it will be Skyrim on the Switch.
Mario Kart Switch
Punchout Arcade Switch
I just stayed up way too late and finally beat Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I wanted to beat it so bad and move onto another game but now it's over I don't want to leave it. In any case, pillow time
Nothing, because I'm too busy watching wrestling this weekend.
No Switch this weekend.
Got a new roommate who has a PS4 so we're catching up on some Destiny 2 and Mortal Kombat for a couple of days.
Miss Mario Kart and Kingdom Battle tho...
I’m finally on the final boss of Persona Q, which should be completed this week. So I’ve now got my teeth into Mario Odyssey and Mario & Rabbids. If I get time I may join a few splatfest games.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is always in my rotation. I'll also throw in some of the Bayonetta games.
On PS4 it's MLB The Show 18.
I just finished “Subsurface Circular” that’s on sale on the Switch (and scored with My Nintendo gold points, so it was “free”). It was a delightful movie-length experience with a devastating ending. I would recommend it to gamers looking for a short, unconventional experience.
Otherwise, I’m still grinding through “Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia,” which is great, but pretty challenging on “hard/Classic” mode.
It's time for my annual play through of CastleVania: Symphony of the Night. I'm on the reverse castle now and I've got 2 of Drac's parts. Such a special game. On Switch I'm playing some Mario Kart 8 and Tengai featuring Best Girl 2018 Miko.
@Banjos_Backpack me either. I have all sorts of great games waiting to be played and after 100 hours I'm still obsessively playing like a junkie.
Went back to Spla2n for my first S2 Splatfest. Team Baseball won, which makes me happy. I do wish these lasted 2 days, like the Callie vs. Marie Splatfest. I only have enough time in between sleeping and working to make it to Splatfest Champion rank. I'm not staying up late to make it to King status.
Splatoon 2 for me - team Salty. Had an awful run last night, lost a couple of games and thought 'I'll quit as soon as I win one'. 8 or 9 losses later I just went to bed. Oh well, made up for it this morning.
Had a quick blast on Aqua Kitty UDX - shooters not really my thing as I always found them too hard (although I did manage to beat Gradius on the NES - quite the feat for 12 year old me) but enjoying it, and well worth the 5 quid or so.
Of course, my son seems to get more time on the switch than me. He's ahead of me in BOTW and just can't stop himself from telling me all the things I've yet to see. Flippin Youtube generation! Still, shouldn't really complain - all his friends have Xbox Ones, so he's flying the flag for Nintendo
Lately I’ve been playing Uncharted: the lost legacy and I’m really enjoying it 😁
@sonicbooming
Mind if I ask you how the Darkest Dungeon is? Looks like a game I could get into, but I was holding off for the physical game coming out at the end of April. Just curious of your thoughts, I love challenging games, and it certainly seems like one.
Oh, I'll be playing WWE 2K18!
On the PS4
I know it's getting old. I'm still playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I'm 288 hours in, NewGame+ and have 39/45 Special Blades. All characters are Level 95~96, and I S-Ranked 31 of my 39 Blades. My goal at the moment is to get all Blades and S-Rank them. After that we'll see what's left to do and if I want to do it. Yesterday I finally got Indol at 5 Stars (which is kinda useless I know).
Quite a lot all weekend spare time: Pokemon Go and Vostok Inc.
Continuing to replay my entire Switch game collection before Donkey Kong Country TF comes out on Switch...
Friday: Shovel Knight Spectre of Torment.
Saturday: Metal Slug, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Shock Troopers, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Ultra Street Fighter II, and Mighty Gunvolt Burst.
Sunday: Aerofighters 2, and Azure Stiker Gunvolt 1 and 2, maybe I can squeeze in Sonic Mania.
Azure Striker. Gunvolt Striker pack
Pokemon X
Skylanders Swapforce
Playing Chrono Trigger(psx) on my ps vita
Wario Land 4 on my GBA
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe battle mode, and just picked up Assassin's Creed Origin's for the Ps4 yesterday for $38 brand new so will be working on that.
@MoonKnight7 It plays wonderfully and it looks gorgeous. One criticism that is leveled is that the writing can be a bit small on the screen. I sort of half agree with it in that, yes it is small, but also, you get used to it and it's not impossible to read. I know that many enjoy playing with the touch screen, but I haven't really felt the need, but it's there if you like that form of interactivity. Definitely worth picking up. I couldn't wait for a physical release. I've triple dipped this game on my PC, Vita, and now Switch.
This weekend I've been playing Lord of the Rings The Third Age for Gamecube and I'm going to start playing Metroid Prime tonight. I'm going to play the whole trilogy before 4 comes out.
Playing doom, splatoon 2 and monster hunter world. I'm in gaming heaven.
Anybody else having trouble connecting to Phantasy Star? I have it downloaded and I’m using a LAN wire, and I’m getting the bad connection box over the title screen and menus. The game boots me out when I choose a ship.
@MartyFlanMJFan if its the jump ropes, theres a naughty exploit you can look up. If it isn’t patched out, that is. Lol
Im at Silicon valley comic con with weekend. I'll be playing smash bros and DnD.
Collected a few extra moons in Odyssey, then I splashed out on Strikers 1945 II, what a great little shooter, feels very comfy playing it with split joycons.
@sonicbooming
Sounds awesome, noted about the small text. That was also an issue on some of the games even during the Wii U days, if you played on the Gamepad. I remember Don’t Starve had a small text problem too. Yeah it’s been tough waiting for the physical release, but I’ve made it this far, I can make it a few more weeks. Happy to hear it’s a blast, can’t wait! Thanks for sharing.
@Vriess life is strange is absolutely fantastic. It consumes you and you literally become part of the game. Enjoy😍
Kirby Star Allies, FIFA 18, and Final Fantasy 15: Windows Edition for me.
I ended up not playing much this weekend but did get a little time into Animated Jigsaws and continued to be consumed by Totes the Goat.
@darthstuey
Well, I started The Last Guardian and I'm about half way through. Controls are a bit finicky, but man, the atmosphere in this game is absolutely phenomenal. Life is Strange is certainly up next though.
@darthstuey
Finished chapter 3 of Life is Strange. You weren't kidding about it consuming you. The story (writing), voice acting, music, atmosphere...all are amazing!
