High Horse Entertainment's Disc Jam might be making its way to the Nintendo Switch.
There's been no official confirmation yet, but the game has been listed on the Switch's News Feed application, which would suggest one is coming very soon.
Seen by many as a spiritual successor to the classic Neo Geo title Windjammers, Disc Jam features similar gameplay bit adopts a behind-the-shoulder, third-person view of the action. Already available on Steam and PS4, the game features 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 matches, and also has online play support.
Disc Jam has been dubbed "the next Rocket League" by some players, but has received mixed some rather reviews since launch; our friends over at Push Square gave it a cautious recommendation with their 6/10 review.
Let us know if you'll be downloading this on Switch, should an official confirmation be forthcoming.

I think the idea looks great. I played a game like this over 20 years ago in the arcade. Maybe it was Windjammers, I didn't get to play it a lot but I really liked it.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Shame we can't just get Windjammers on Switch though!
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Those probably were the Windjammers, which this game tried to reproduce, but it did not quite hit the mark though. Idea is great, this specific example - not so much.
A 6 out of 10 from the good people at Push Square really, really doesn't point towards a Windjammers spiritual successor.
Windjammers is my all time favourite neo geo game that I’ve wanted to get a digital release every year and has never been.
Instantly looking forward to this
EDIT: having watched the video, don’t like the camera angle, looks slow and less action packed than Windjammers and also not as good. Still looks worth a try though. Just wish somebody would port Windjammers
Would much rather just have a port of Windjammers! This looks OK but not a big fan of the art style and would rather have the old Windjammers perspective. Plus I can't see myself abandoning Rocket League anytime soon.
Comparing this to Rocket League is like comparing John OShea to Lionel Messi.
@themcnoisy Leave big John alone! 😉
Can we PLEASE just get a port of Windjammers?
This was on PS Plus and I was really excited but it just doesnt compare to WindJammers, no way near as fun and frantic.
A remastered version of WindJammers has been released on Sony PSN for PS4 and Vita I believe? Same company as the one that did the WonderBoy Dragon's Trap remake.
I don't if it's any good, but, I'd like to see it with motion controls so you can toss that frisbee like in Wii Sports Resort.
Looks like we’re all craving Windjammers
There was a Tron game sort of like this in the arcades, way back when... I assume Windjammers was inspired by Tron?
Seems like it could be fun... would also be an interesting VR game... especially with a Tron license.
This looks pretty fun!
I like the better graphics. I think I'm burnt out on the old retro style.
I don't buy many games for my Vita anymore, but i bought Windjammers not long back, great online multiplayer. Next up secret of Mana remake. Windjammers will probably make it to switch
This looks amazing.... too bad it seems the reviews are not super positive. Oh well, if they won't let me buy Windjammers on Switch then this may scratch that itch!
Got this game with PS plus months back. It's decent enough but no where near as solid as Winjammers
Windjammers in the Switch would be cool, but this looks very promising. There is a big French Windjammers community out there.
Disc Jam came out for free with PS+ on the PS4. It isn't a Windjammers, and it isn't a particularly great game either.
A truly rip-off.
Free on ps plus, so no thanks.
