Capcom has done a pretty decent job of ensuring that fans of the popular Ace Attorney franchise are well-served on 3DS. We've already had Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies and Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the handheld, and it would seem that we're getting the spin-off Apollo Justice title as well.
A Korean rating for a 3DS version of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - originally released on DS in 2007 and the only part of the mainline series not to be released on 3DS so far - has just surfaced online. There's no official word on this from Capcom at present and we have no way of knowing if it's going to get a worldwide release, but it's reason enough to be excited if you're a long-time follower of the franchise.
Would you be interested in seeing Apollo Justice come to the 3DS?

Meh, not a fan of Apollo
Knowing not a lot about this series, I read this to mean that there's going to be an Apollo Justice game set in Korea, which I assume would be awesome, but then I have no frame of reference in the first place.
I'd rather get an Ace Attorney game for the Switch
Sheesh, not more Khura'in shenanigans? Had my fill of that place by the second case of Spirit of Justice...
@kupocake
I can see how someone would read it like that
@Solid_Stannis
No it's a port of the DS game, I'm sick of that place too.
Very good news, was about to buy this used but keen to support the developers by buying this instead
it's worth noticing that they already released an enhanced version for phones, so a port is very likely
To get it legally, yes; otherwise, I have already played it. I remember Apollo impressing me less than Phoenix back then, but the rest of the game was delicious. Gavin was one of the comparatively less common prosecutors who are quirky without being surreal jerkasses to pretty much everyone in court, and so far I still want to hope Ema Skye also appears in Dual Destinies - detective Fulbright doesn't cut it quite as much with me yet.
And last time I checked, wasn't it a flagship game? Spinoffs are Investigations dilogy and the alternate world Layton crossover (and those still unlocalised distant prequels); this one merely focuses on a different protagonist (before the next two games fully embraced having multiple ones) but covers some of the most important events in-universe.
Objection! Take that! Gosh I loved the original trilogy. I actually played them on the Wii through the Wii Store with the Wiimote and still loved it! Only the Japanese can make something mundane like courtrooms and the law into an awesome game.
Heck yes! I really liked the original trilogy, and I donwloaded 5 when it was on sale, but I didn't want to start it before playing Apollo (and it's somewhat hard to get). If it's going to be cheap, then it's an instant download for me.
It seemed likely considering they did remasters of the trilogy and Apollo Justice, the latter having only being released on mobile devices.
It's just the 3DS' turn.
@nhSnork Yeah, @Damo this should probably be changed from spin-off to main series game, since this is called Gyakuten Saiben 4 in Japan, and is really quite important for later games, unlike the investigation games which are the spin offs
I already have this on iOS, and I'm not sure I'll double dip. AJ is definitely one of the weaker entries in the series.
How can the article refer to this game as a "spin-off" when it is literally the fourth game in the series (In Japan it's called Gyakuten Saiban 4).
Since the localization is already done, here's hoping that it will get here swiftly.
Ah, don't people always whine about the 3DS being backwards compatible with DS games? In any case the fans don't want this, they want either Gyakuten Kenji 2 or Dai Gyakuten Saiban.
Yes please! I wish they'd consider putting AA investigations 1 on the E-shop as well, there's no need for localisation or anything
They should port something to the switch, like SoJ. All they would have to do is up the native resolution and it would look awesome.
Interesting. But I've heard that AJ:AA is the worst game in the series, so I'm not very hyped.
Still waiting on Great Ace Attorney and Edgeworth Investigations 2.
I really enjoyed Apollo Justice but wouldn't double dip as already have the DS version.
@GameOtaku Yeah, me too!
@GameOtaku Capcom recently issued takedowns for the subtitled playthroughs of The Great Ace Attorney on Youtube, so that could be an indication that it's finally on the way.
@Manjushri In my opinion SOJ is a good game, probably better than AJ (which I still love). It seems to be a pretty common consensus within the community that SOJ is at least a solid game. (I happen to think it's fantastic.)
Ya know, you still owe us Miles Edgeworth's Sexy Adventures 2 Capcom. I would think bundling that with the first game as well as maybe a touch up graphics wise like the Trilogy Collection might be more desired then a game we can already play on 3DS through the DS cart anyway.
Its the only expensive game I bought for my phone and it played very well. The controls are simple enough for it to be fully enjoyable so I dont feel a need to rebuy this on a gaming console.
