Earlier this week Nintendo of America announced its Summer of Play tour, which will take a broad range of Switch and 3DS games around the US. Now Nintendo UK has confirmed its own tour specifically for the Switch, starting in June and running right up to December.
Unlike the US equivalent, however, this UK tour is only confirmed (so far) to showcase two games - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 1-2-Switch. It's a pity that there's no extended range of demos, but in any case the dates and locations are below; in all cases the event will run from 9am to 5pm local time.

Are any of you UK gamers going to head along to check out this Nintendo Switch tour?

Just 2 games. That's pathetic. You would have thought they'd promote ARMS and Splatoon 2.
That is very poor
UK tour meaning England - and just 3 days in 2 other nations... What a joke.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I'm going to go against character and give them the benefit of the doubt that since this "tour" lasts thru December but starts before E3 they are only listing those 2 games now b/c the first 3 "Stops" on the tour are pre-E3 and they want to make the ARMS and Spaltoon 2 tournaments a big deal at E3. After E3 they'll probably add more games to the tour as the year goes on.
That would be my hope anyway. The first 3 stops get those 2 games, then games get added as they get closer to release. Heck I'm still hoping for new game news at E3. Can't list games they haven't' announced yet.
Hopefully more games get announced before it comes to MK as already own MK8D and not too bothered. Also hopefully will be close enough to Mario Odyssey to have a demo by then.
@rjejr Yeah, hopefully more gets added after the Spotlight event.
Surprises are to come
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I can understand no Splatoon 2, since that doesn't really have any splitscreen local multiplayer options from what we know, but the lack of ARMS is really confusing...
They'll likely add new games after they've shown them at E3, where they'll bring a playable Mario. Come on guys
PUHLEASE come to Northern Ireland! I'd absolutely love to go with my family
Carlisle?☹️😢
Brilliant! I'll deffo stop by Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester.
Theres sure to be more than 2 demos.
I admire your optimism that there'll be more than two demos, I really do
Of course there'll be surprises and other games, but that doesn't mean they'll organise extra demo units for this tour!
I hope they do though; heck, just swap something else for 1-2-Switch.
If all they are showing is 1, 2 Switch and MK8 then probably a waste of time going along. Considering I have no interest in the former and own the latter.
I get why 1, 2 Switch is there as it's their system functionality demo, but they really needed something else, either ARMS, Splatoon 2 or even Breath of the Wild.
Only two games. . . .
With the money this will take to fund there is no way they will turn up with just MK and 1-2.
On a side note, shame there's no Liverpool!
I've not had any real opportunity to try out the Switch, so I'd like to have a go with it. Those locations are a bit awkward for me to reach, so I'm not going to be making the journey for only two games.
@Grumblevolcano @ThomasBW84 "I hope they do though; heck, just swap something else for 1-2-Switch."
If they are still promoting 1 2 Switch in Nov and Dec instead of Mario they are seriously doing it wrong. Mario Kart is a perennial winner, the "8" and the "Deluxe" don't even matter when showing it off to the tens of millions of people who bought it on Wii but skipped Wii U for whatever reason.
I will attend my local events just to be there to support Nintendo.
I don't ALWAYS agree with them, but I am a fan through and through.
I know the UK is not a strong area for Nintendo sales, but this is not how to win it over.
Where are the Snipperclips demos? Breath of the Wild? Arms? Why no PuyoPuyo Tetris, Fast RMX, Bomberman R and Street Fighter?
I'm not buying the 'holding back for E3' stuff as they have already taken all of these games on tour to various parts of the globe before.
The Switch is amazing but this is super weak.
The two games showcased are probably 'evergreen titles' since the tour goes on until December. There'll be a lot more games out by then. They're probably trying to capture the causal family gamer fan using these two titles. Other games will be promoted another way
Better late than never I guess. Even if it is a poor selection.
Nothing for the south coast? Its (gasp) actually sunny at the mo!... we also have nintendo fans, ice creams on the beach and seagulls the size of pterodactyls trying to pinch said ice cream...
I'm sure more games will come, especially ARMS
Odd considering London Comic Con this weekend not only has Nintendo demoing the Switch but many more games to play as well.....
Going to the one in Derby.
