Launch day Nintendo Switch owners in Europe will have one more option on the eShop once 3rd March rolls around. Flyhigh Works - which is associated with the prolific CIRCLE Entertainment - has been handling the global roll-out of the Japanese music title that made its name on smart devices, and has confirmed that it'll arrive in Europe on 3rd March.
Its price tag of €20.99 may seem quite high, but it's been emphasized that this includes 116 songs to tap and swipe along to, with no extra payments made in the game - unlike the mobile versions.
It's a bit of a landmark release, of course, as its the first portable-only game on the Switch; it's not something Nintendo has been talking about due its drive to promote the system as a home gaming machine, but it could be interesting to see more mobile / tablet games come across in the future.
We've asked about a North American release date and will update with any information we get back.
So, are any of you in Europe tempted to pick this up from the eShop?

I am a bit of a fan of rhythm games, so I'll be watching this closely. Maybe I'll give the mobile game a go to get a feel for it.
It's good to see the Switch launch bolstered by more titles!
Less than €0.20 for a track? That's pretty reasonable. As long as it does good I will be picking this title up!
Well it's a lovely trailer but tells me absolutely nothing about what kind of game it is...
I know my friend will be really excited about this!
She's a sucker for rhythm games.
Great news! Another day 1 title for me. It's totally getting out of hand over here now, though. Zelda, Bomberman, 1-2 Switch, Fast RMX, Snipperclips and now this? I should probably let I Am Setsuna slide for now, don't have time for any other grand scale game besides Zelda anyway.
I tried the mobile game and while the normal difficulty was easy, I couldn't keep up with the harder difficulties. I can't move my fingers fast enough and I felt a bit uncomfortable. I prefer Osu/EBA and Theatrhythm. They can be challenging but thanks to stylus controls and 3DS's screen, you're never required to touch multiple spots at the same time. I'll give it another try once I get a Switch, assuming they'll have a demo by then.
@ottospooky Give it a try! I play a lot of rhythm games and tbh this is the most aesthetically pleasing one I have tried. It's a lot of fun and has a good music selection. You get a good amount of songs to play for free but I am excited that you can buy a switch version and have them all unlocked.
@Baker1000 You can play the game for free on mobile. Here's a video clip of gameplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqJfJWVDaD4
@Baker1000 well, it's been stated a lot that it's a rhythm game of sorts... think of something like the legendary Osu Takaden Ouendan on the DS and it's not too stellar cousin Elite Beat Agents.
Alternatively, since it's already on the iOS, you could always do a quick search on google for gameplay vids: https://youtu.be/_7y2toZWw98?t=2m1s
@prince_david ah, you beat me to the punch
Wait, the game is free on mobile and the Switch release costs 20 bucks!?
@Yasume yeah it is. 'cept that on mobile you have to buy the other songs aside from the free to start ones.
@Yasume It costs a lot of money to get all the songs unlocked on mobile. You do get a good amount of free songs on rotation. You need 111 Taiyaki key tokens to unlock all songs at once. The cheapest rate for keys is 25 keys for 20 dollars so you would be spending over 80 dollars to unlock all songs.
@Yasume
It's free to try but to get as much content as the Switch version through Microtransactions would cost you about to 4 times as much through IAP. This looks an excellent deal, I'm gonna try the Android app and if it's good, give it a go on Switch.
€20.99 is a lot but you get all the tracks and don't need to pay extra just to get a track advertised in the game like on phones. The game isn't for me but for those that do like these games, when you think about it, you are getting a decent deal by just buying the game.
Best to try the free mobile app first.
So far I hear 20 (or in this case 20+) Euro for Switch downloads. Faaaaaar to expensive! I won't pay more than 10 Euro for a download, and even then I am paying faaaar to much compared to downloads on other systems!
Sounds good! (pun not intended but approved post factum) Another title on my radar, with an average price and a lot of content without having to milk them out for months on a stamina meter or something. I'm not overly fond of the freemium model itself, so the idea of mobile F2Ps reimagined as full package titles on Switch appeals to me.
Actually considering it. I do like my rhythm games and this feels like good value for money.
@onery Wait up!! What wasn't stellar about EBA? I spent days after days trying to "beat" my high scores and unlock the whole story. It was awesome.
@maceng oh it was good don't get me wrong. Gameplay-wise, it's basically a clone of Osu Takaden Ouendan, no nothing to compare there. It's just comes down to... wait for it... music. I will have to admit that I am a bigger fan of the playlist available in Osu Takaden Ouendan compared to Elite Beat Agents (which had some songs I didn't care for if I remember correctly).
Again, it's a more personal taste sort of thing. I did have fun with both, though significantly more with Osu Takaden Ouendan and it's later sequel (though in that the ending song didn't feel as epic as the first).
This price is definitely reasonable.
Games as expensive as this (and Snipperclips) should be issued a physical release, even if it's a strictly limited or online only one. There were plenty of other 3DS/Wii U games I wanted to buy, but I'm not happy spending $30-$80 if I'm not getting a physical copy.
@Henmii dude. If $20 is too expensive for the switch. Buy the mobile version and see how expensive it really is. How are u even getting a console if $20 is too expensive.
20 is too expensive....for a download!! That's how I feel, I only pay more then 20 for a proper Retail title!
