The Nintendo Selects range is, unsurprisingly, a regular highlight for those that follow the company and enjoys its games. First-party titles often hold their value, so when they get official discounts through the Selects promotions it can be a chance to catch up on some quality titles.
Nintendo of America has confirmed two more 3DS games that'll join the range in 'mid-February', bringing their standard price down to $19.99.
Both are quality games, in our opinion, and well worth considering as budget treats on the 3DS.
If any of you in North America are planning to pick these up for 20 bucks do let us know in the comments.

Yes! I love Nintebdo selects! and they're on games I was planning on gettting!
Kirby I will definitely add
@ManInTheChair In comparison to all the ones announced so far, I believe it is fairly new is it not? They are still pumping out 3DS games so I suspect selects will keep growing for at least this year.
I saw the title image and was hoping it was Paper Jam, since I haven't played that yet. The Selects range has always been a disappointment to me, since I buy the majority of first-party titles at launch...
I just bought Kirby: Planet Robobot a week ago for 20€. Just completed the story mode (collected every sticker and cube). The final boss was really good. I'd buy Triple Deluxe this instant if it were a Nintendo Select in Europe.
I own both of these already but it's good for those who don't
Europe says "Hello Kirby". Seriously. Do it now.
@ManInTheChair that is odd since it is a Select in Europe
Kirby is awesome and well worth a shot as the 3D in the game is brilliant.
"Both are quality games, in our opinion, and well worth considering as budget treats on the 3DS."
Agreed, especially Triple Deluxe, which I consider my favorite 3DS game even today.
Hmm... I'll have to get a list with the Wii U/3DS selects and buy them, they already have a lot of games that I wanted to get, but never got around to it.
Just started dream team. Amazing game!
Now if they would just announce New 3DD price cuts, maybe they could sell more systems and more gsmes, b/c a lot of current 3DS owners probably already own these, they're pretty old. That Kirby game should have dropped in price when the Roboton sequel came out awhile ago.
Kirby, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
Awesome, I haven't bought these games yet so I'll be sure to get them whenever I can.
Own em both but if I didn't I'd be buying em both.
Games I own already, but nice.
@Warruz A Link Between Worlds came out in November 2013, on the same day as Mario Party Island Tour (at least in NA), which is a Nintendo Select title, and Kirby Triple Deluxe came out in May 2014. Yoshi's New Island also launched in spring of 2014 now that I think about it. So, all things considered, I don't think ALBW is missing out for it's relative "newness"
@rjejr They could have sold more systems if they were actually in stock at the box stores too. Those stores have been sold out since before Christmas and all I see is an odd 2DS now and then and even Target's website is out of stock.
Hope they keep adding more titles. Star Fox 64 3D needs to be in there
Glad to see Kirby on there!
My only other requests are New Super Mario Bros 2, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Star Fox 64 3D
Great news!
After completing Planet Robobot I was looking to get Triple Deluxe, so glad I waited. Now give me A Link Between World and I'll have them all.
As soon as I saw this I thought of McDonald's Chicken Selects. thanks Nintendo. now I'm hungry.
If only these weren't priced so high in Canada. $29.99 doesn't feel all that special for an older portable game.
Been wanting to pick up Mario & Luigi, especially since ive been playing superstar saga
Dream Team is a great game, though a little hand holdy and long winded. I plan to pick up Kirby Triple Deluxe since I missed that one.
Already have Triple Deluxe so I might pick up Dream Team.
Would be nice to see Awakening added to Selects since I sold my copy a couple of years ago when cash was pretty tight.
I'll be picking up both of these this summer. I've been waiting so long for them to become Selects titles.
By "Kirby" I was hoping that Planet Robobot already received a discount, but I suppose it's too new.
I cannot recommend Triple Deluxe Enough!
It is a fantastic Kirby title, better than Return to Dreamland which I found to have repetitive level design. Great music, inventive levels, and the extra modes are a BLAST.
I will finally get Kirby. I love Nintendo Selects hope we get a few more batches before they retire the 3DS.
Yeah! Been wanting to play Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
@Mr_Zurkon I've seen a few XL here and there, and just last week Target had 1 each of the red and blue 2DS w/ MK7 bundled, but overall, I agree, stock is not one of their strong points. They probably could have sold A LOT more of those $99 New 3DS after the holiday even if they put them up to $129. But I'm pretty sure stock ran out fast - like Wednesday night fast some places - and never ever returned.
Glad I'm not planning on getting a Switch for awhile, I can't deal. Or make that my wife can't deal, she's the one who waited online 90 minutes for a NES Mini for our son for Christmas. Don't think she'll be doing that again anytime soon.
Nintneod should just become a mail order company and be done w/ it, but they should make what people order. The Switch pre-orders opened about 2 or 3 months too late to be meaningful, those weren't pre-orders so much as they were selling what was already made, 7 weeks notice is NOT enough time to make orders as they come in. That's just a fact.
With the recent VC release of Star Fox 64, I'm surprised that the 3DS remake isn't a Nintendo Selects game yet.
@thesilverbrick No offence but they aren't aimed at you lol. If you buy all the first party titles as you suggest, you would often have these games. I often have the majority of these games, too.
I think they are aimed at people who buy the system late in he life cycle. All those Black Friday adopters have a huge library of games to choose from the Selects are meant as a way of getting the best games for cheap. Selects can also be great for people who trade in games and want to reacquire them at a later date.
@Nintendofan83 I hear ya. And I do realize these Selects are their way of giving older titles a second sales life.
That said, there are a couple first-party games I never bought (like Paper Jam and Mario Golf) and even though I'd like to play them, part of me is willing to wait a bit longer, hoping to get them at a reduced cost. I was just a little excited for a moment when I saw the article image, thinking I might actually be able to buy a Nintendo Select for once.
YES! I've been waiting for both of those to go down in price!
@Warruz But it was part of the european offer.
Nice, I have yet to buy Kirby: Triple Deluxe. I will do it now.
@thesilverbrick Well Miss Lemon, you may still get your chance. Nintendo has confirmed that the 3DS will be fully supported through 2017. DQVIII just launched, Yoshi is launching next month and Mario Sports Superstars and a new Fire Emblem game in the spring. There is also Pikmin 3D, Ever Oasis, and Fire Emblem Warriors, too. My guess is you will see a few more games added to the Selects throughout the year to help keep the news cycle on the 3DS as the releases are probably spread out at one a month. Considering most pundits said the 3DS would be dead, I'm seeing about 7-8 games I will buy this year. That's more than the Wii U over the past 2 years haha. I also bet we see more console variations launched to drum up sales. The Pikachu system is coming next month and I expect to see more like that. The end of the console life is often some of the best time to scoop things up.
Great. I've yet to play either of those.
Why has Luigi's Mansion still not made it to the Selects range in Europe?
What about Europe? Still waiting for Donkey Kong and Luigi's Mansion, but instead, we can get Nintendogs... Wtf Nintendo?
YES! Want both!
Only two games though? No Star Fox 64 3D or anything else Europe has?
