We're stepping into the big leagues in the year's competitive Pokémon tournament circuit, with key National Championships happening over the next few weeks throughout Europe. The Pokémon Company has confirmed that there'll be three new Twitch channels to show the events live, helping the EU circuit to have similar coverage to that we typically see from the US Championships.

The UK Championships are this weekend, with German and Italian events on the way soon - the schedule, if you've missed it up to now, is below:

  • 14–15 May: Liverpool, UK (Exhibition Centre Liverpool)
  • 21–22 May: Kassel, Germany (Kongress Palais Kassel)
  • 11–12 June: Milan, Italy (Mediolanum Forum, Assago MI)

Three separate channels will cover each individual tournament with English commentary, so those that want to focus on the video game rounds won't need to sit through mandatory coverage of the Trading Card Game event, and vice-versa. You can see the channels below.

The same press release also confirmed that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have passed three million sales in Europe, which is an impressive figure.

We're planning to host some of the action here on Nintendo Life, focusing on the VG and Pokkén Tournament streams. Are you planning to watch this weekend?
