Many of you have no doubt played Pictionary at parties before; it can be a wonderfully chaotic competition when everyone's really getting into it. Naturally, a game such as this which channels one's inner artist is a perfect fit for the Wii U GamePad and it was only a matter of time before one would appear on the console. PictoParty released in North America a few months ago, and we gave it a 6/10; noting how it streamlines, but doesn't really reinvent, the ideas pioneered by Pictionary.
Europe was due to receive the game this week - it even appeared in the weekly download release - but it now has been pushed back to "late January". Retroid Interactive just broke the news on Twitter, stating that a bug is the reason for the delay. A patch has been made for the bug, and it will go out with the game when it launches, but it will take time for Nintendo to process the new patch. Here are the tweets:
What do you think? Are you disappointed at the delay? What's your favorite party game on the Wii U? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I could've sworn I thought you were talking about Pictochat, but when I saw it was a Pictionary game for the Wii U, I said "Oh".
I really miss the Nintendo DS's Pictochat. Why didn't they bring it in Nintendo 3DS?
I have Spin The Bottle for Wii U, a really fun party game when my nephews are around, we get a good laugh
@MJKOP : Played it once in a group and found it completely humiliating and degrading.
I'd still highly recommend it for children, but as a grown man... much, much too embarrassing. The only game that could possibly be more embarrassing and awkward than this is We Dare.
@sillygostly All of us "grown men" would benefit from some kind of embarassing activity. Kids usually laugh and learn of their shortcomings, we sadly lose that ability too soon. Pictionary can absolutely help with that, but it also depends on who you play it with, of course.
The 'Dare' games, on the other hand, are just delving into our worst tendencies, therefore I'd just call them degrading, more than embarassing.
On topic, shame, nothing for me this week then. Well, apart from the Legend of Legacy demo.
I purchased this game already for around $ 7 and really shouldn't cost more than $ 2
All in all Europe, you're not missing a lot so don't be upset
Love the use use of #pleaseunderstand
@sillygostly I bought it on sale and never played it for a long time, stuck it on when I had my sisters boys and it was a big hit. My own two kids put it on every now & again too, always talk me in to playing, I think it's fun I have to say! I've never played with other adults admittedly, other than my partner joining in a couple of times. Maybe it'd be more fun with adults after a few drinks but... I don't drink very often
