SteamWorld Heist is approaching a December release, so naturally Image & Form is doing its utmost to build awareness of the release. To that end it's revived its 'Engine Room' video series to tackle some questions from the community.
The Q & A picks up on some key points for those curious about the upcoming strategy title; much is made of weapon variety and depth, along with a campaign length said to exceed 20 hours. Beyond that it's clarified that on the New Nintendo 3DS the game will run at 60fps with 3D enabled, whereas on older models it'll be 30fps.

Love these guys, so charming, can't wait for the game. Am hoping early December.
That sucks that it won't run at 60 fps on the original 3DS like Steamworld Dig did.
I thoroughly look forward to this installation of the series
I may have to get a New 3DS next year, more and more games are dumping the old one.
@Nintendian Huh? The game is playable on the original model.
@TimeGuy Yes it does but 60 fps is a huge difference. Cinematic games running at 30 fps is ok as it looks more film-like, this game and most Nintendo games should run at 60 fps or it just doesn't look right. Old 3DS is going to be compromising on framerate and 3d support from now on, developers are putting their priority on the new console.
@Nintendian it's not like it's action-heavy, though, as it is a turn-based game. I'm guessing 30fps won't matter much in this game. That said, it's nice to have better performance on the New 3DS.
Wow. A twenty hour campaign for an eShop title? That's excellent, especially since all the gameplay footage I have seen has made this game out to be a good time. Definitely looking forward to its release, even if I don't get it on day one. Just bought an Xbox One, so I doubt I'll be playing this game any time soon.
@accc
It's a turnbased game though, it'll be fine in 30fps.
The article says "with 3D enabled." So this means the 3DS will run at 60fps if you have 3D off, right?
@DekuOnion I would assume so
