Splatoon's latest free update in the continued support for the game gifted us all with a brand new variant on the Heavy Splatling, the Heavy Splatling Deco, and we've only gone and recorded some footage of it fresh from the servers.
This thing not only looks flashy and unwieldily, but it has Point Sensors to keep track of your foes and the terrifyingly powerful Kraken to save your sorry self if you get caught in a particularly troublesome pinch. Check out the video below to see these words come to life in a dazzling display of daring deliverance.

@DarthNocturnal Be prepared to have your life sucked away by this game. It's more than a system-seller: Splatoon is a way of life.
@DarthNocturnal It's one of my most played games ever, possibly as high as 2nd behind Mario Kart Wii which I logged over 700 hours into but that was over 2 or 3 years.I'm already well over 400 hours logged on Splatoon and far from being bored,it just keeps getting better.I'm still learning little things every time I play and I've only used a few weapons and barely experimented with the gear until recently. With the new maps coming and possibly a new mode or 2 it's only a matter of time before this becomes my most played game ever.My point being,it's worth every penny. When you do eventually get it,you'll wonder why you waited.

If Splatoon was a Wii U launch title, the PS3 and X360 would have been caught off guard and Nintendo would at least have 30 if not 50 million Wii U users right now.
Point sensor with kraken just seems like a weird combination to me but I'll give it a fair shot as I'm still experimenting with weapons that control lanes welll on certain maps.
@Jazzer94 I dunno, I don't use the kraken that often but find the best defence against it is just to stay totally still and hide, the point sensor could make that tactic impossible if used just before activating the kraken. It seems a good fit, to me. Guess that's one of the reasons splatoon is so good - there are so many different ways to play. 😊
@OorWullie I paid less than £20 for Splatoon, brand new, delivered... This was just before the major update, end of July I think. I'm still playing it as often as I can, late last night after work and early this morning while my Son took a break, he plays it every single day. Incredible game, so much FUN
@MJKOP Yep,we got definitely got a good deal in the UK.I got an Eshop code for it day one for £25.I play it as much now as I did then,if not more. My nephew is getting a Wii U for his Xmas so I'll be teaming up with him and playing well into next year.I just hope I can get to S rank before then so I don't lose ranking points helping him out haha
@OorWullie nice one, I've two nephews both have Wii U but neither have Splatoon! Although my brothers son borrowed mine for a bit and loved it so he may well have it on Christmas morning! I'm still just playing Turf Wars believe it or not, I'll have to try ranked battles...
No wonder the Team Fortress 2 jokes started with the very first comment, although I kinda hoped I would get to kickstart the process with a "sandvich" joke... a SANDVINK, perhaps?
Just picked up the three pack amiibo set from GameStop and a copy of the game today getting ready to jump in . I figured I'd better get a copy and play now as we are less than a month away from Xenoblade X .., which I'm sure will get all my attention .
I plan on giving this one a shot. Is it heavier than the first one?
@DarthNocturnal Prepare for major frustration. I still recommend the game but just....prepare for that. I can only play it in short bursts.
