The toys to life concept is certainly nothing new today, with the rather cleverly disguised DLC causing wallets around the world to cry out in despair when each new wave of figures comes out. Disney Infinity wasn't the first to jump on this bandwagon, but you could very much argue that it's been the strongest competitor, with decades of animation and film history for the multimedia titan to draw upon to fuel its seemingly endless campaign. Just this past week, a new wave of figures and power discs launched, but it seems that we've already received a glimpse of what to expect in the next wave.
CNET recently did a piece on Disney Infinity and the toys to life industry in general, and while it made for a very interesting read, one particular item was especially noticeable. An image of what appears to be a prototype for a figure based on Marvel's AI superhero, Vision, was shown. While it's certainly possible that this won't go much farther than the concept stages, Vision's recent introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers 2 has certainly made the character relevant to mainstream audiences again and it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that Disney is capitalizing on this.
What do you think? Will a Vision figure come out some day? Who else would you like to see added to Disney Infinity? Drop us a comment in the section below.

What ever happened to that voting contest that decided who got in? II don't own this game but I would buy a Mabel figure (who I believe was the winner) in a heartbeat.
@dadajo I don't have this either, but I'm gonna get on it as soon as Darkwing Duck makes it in.
@dadajo I hope Mabel won (and next time Star Butterfly! )
Unless they do a Mouseton or Duckburg openworld for it, I'll stick with DI 2.0.
Wasn't there a leak where Ant-Man, Black Panther and Vision were leaked? I don't know but I bought Ultron and Spot just yesterday. And I hate DI as a game. The figurines are just too awesome!
Also, I'd love to see classic Disney characters in DI and not just recent movies or properties they bought. I mean, the first one was very Pixar-heavy, the second one was Marvel, the third one is Star Wars. They have such amazing properties themselves and don't use them! I really hope they go full classic for DI4 with at least Simba, Beast, Pinocchio, Baloo, Alice (the classic one, NOT the Tim Burton one!), Winnie Puuh, Hades, Hercules, Genie, Goofy and Pete.
Well, Vision would be better than their announcement of a differently sculpted Captain America.
I wan Vision come to Disney infinity 3.0 on Christmas time and more marvel staff 😄
@dadajo it was revealed at D23 that the winner was Peter Pan. A figure of his likeness will be released early next year along with power discs based on Neverland.
@GoldenGamer88 with what I said above (^) we'll be getting Peter Pan. Is that classic enough for you?
Has no one seen the amazon leak yet? It has not only Vision, but a few other Marvel characters from upcoming and previous Marvel movies. Look it up if you like spoliers
@the101 No, I want a Di game whose line-up is ENTIRELY comprised of classic Disney characters, or any Disney character really, not all have to be classic. All I want to see is a DI game that doesn't include any characters from any property Disney simply bought. I was against Marvel characters in the second game, I was against Star Wars in the third game - for the simple reason that there are all these classic characters and they don't use them for whatever reason. Don't they appeal to kids these days? I don't know. It's just something that has bothered me basically since the announcement of DI2 and my support for the franchise has dropped significantly because of that (well, that and because Amiibos have priority for me). I still buy the figurine of a character I like (like Ultron and Spot for example) but nowhere near as much as I bought and played the first game.
@CommanderGalaxy That's what I'm wondering, too. I even mentioned the leak in my comment.
@GoldenGamer88 I understand your desire. I even feel like there is too great a focus on Pixar properties. But I will say that Marvel was always going to be part of Disney Infinity, even before Disney Infinity 1.0. As revealed in concept art, the first wave of figures was going to be Jack Sparrrow, Sulley, Mr. Incredible, Captain America, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and Simba. Ultimately only the first three were part of the launch wave, but Captain America was certainly there.
I feel like Aurora was replaced in favor of Rapunzel because Tangled was more relevant at the time. Simba unfortunately had complications being programmed because he used all four of his limbs. If they fix that issue, I can see a greater focus on individual Disney-made properties. I can not only see Simba get a figure, but also Dumbo, Bambi, Bolt, etc.
Personal I want to see more from the Disney Reinassance. Where's Ariel, Belle, and Beast?
@the101 Yeah, I know and I have nothing against using properties Disney bought, but the developers simply focused on the wrong properties, at least in my opinion. Just like they did with the last three games, do more figurines for all properties but focus on one of them - and this should be the classic characters in DI4, if you ask me.
I don't have such a great problem with Pixar because both Pixar and Disney properties have quite a similar family-friendly style to them. Not to say Star Wars and Marvel were brutal and violent, but those two have a different feel to them, that doesn't feel very "Disney" to me. That's why I don't mention them as loud as I do with Star Wars and Marvel.
Didn't know that about Simba but I can't imagine that being such a great problem for them not to be able to fix it over the course of three, arguably yearly, games. But oh well, I don't wanna get mad now or anything.
