Delirium Studios has lifted the lid on its new and exclusive 3DS eShop puzzle title, The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and His Square Mind.
Trapped within a mental prison of his own making, the titular Baron Von Sottendorff must negotiate 8 different worlds, 40 challenging levels and avoid 18 different types of enemies to regain his sanity.
You can control the Baron himself as well as manipulate rooms using the 3DS touchscreen. Completing levels earns you special objects which are dear to Von Sottendorff and allow him to piece together his fractured mind and explain the reason for his madness.
Here's what Arturo Monedero, co-founder and creative director of Delirium Studios, had to say about the news:
Ever since the announcement of the 3DS, I've always wanted to create a platform game that blended elements of different genres that could use the 3D effect to give users a different perspective on how to solve puzzles. The dual screens allowed us to let the user control the Baron and the position of each room independently of each other, the end result being some insanely devious puzzles.
The game is due for release on the 3DS eShop this winter. Is your interest piqued? Let us know by posting a comment.

Finally. An eShop title I am looking forward to the release of! I think this could be a very interesting game, but I'll wait for previews/reviews before I get too excited.
This looks very neat and very high quality. They way you can move the rooms around looks cool. Seems its more puzzle than platforms. We will see when it comes out.
Finally a 3DS exclusive game. These days if it's specially developed for a particular console it will be good because more effort will be put in to take advantage of the hardware.
Oooo! Sounds promising. Hope it works out as good as the premise sounds.
Officially piqued.
Looks interesting enough to warrant a look. Will read some reviews and go from there.
Added to the top of my Christmas wish list.
Sounds neat!
I remember this was announced originally yonks ago. Nice to see it wasn't canned as I was really interested in this one
Looks interesting.
