Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate keeps delivering loads of neat - and free - DLC, and this month is no different. The latest available quests don't offer much particularly attractive gear, but there are some cool looking challenges.
Check out the video rundown below.
There are some promising events there, though we're slightly sad that this will be the last Episode, as these have been particularly fun diversions. The Total Eclipse quest looks like a beauty, though.
So, get downloading and hunting!

The wording on that had me worried for a second, still updates in September just not anymore episodic quests.
Still need to do the July 18th dlc.
Soo, just White Fatalis. Whoopdeedoo.
White Fatalis is DLC-exclusive. I'm so getting that. And no, I'm not looking for a greater challenge than that of the High Rank Furious Rajang, thanks.
Have players been attempting these dual-monster arena quests solo? Have they succeeded?
Does the White Fatalis actually offers something good, to make it come back to the game for a while? Else I might just come back when the G-Rank Dalamadur quest launches, the best paralyze weapons in the game would be a must have.
Too bad there are no surprises. All this content is already in the game since Day 1, Capcom is just gating it out to give "free DLC" over time. Good that it's possible to bypass that nonsense and get the DLC from the japanese servers (where all the DLC is out already) and get access to everything immediatly =)
BTW: I want a Pokemon crossover DLC "Hunt a Charizard"
I'm still waiting for a certain event-only armor to become available. Hopefully it's among this update.
@Konda In terms of challenge, I'm not entirely sure, since I haven't fought Whitalis yet. But the Fatalis weapons at their final version all require Whitalis parts, and are absolute killer (almost all come with huge Blast Element, very good sharpness, and serious attack power).
@Kaze_Memaryu
Exactly! White Fatalis is key to maxing and honing SO many weapons. This is the one I've been waiting for. I just hope it's G rank and not a HR quest. I'm sure it is...
@ollietaro I've soloed pretty much everything (just got final scroll to unlock). It gets hard but if you're patient then it's manageable for sure.the tricky part for me is focusing on 1 target while still keeping an eye on the other one as there aren't other people to take the heat off. Though smoke bombs help in this regard a lot. Personally I feel the game becomes too easy in mp, so I tend to solo everything for the challenge and only do mp for fun or just to mix it up a little.
Was hoping for black fatty this month, need 2 eyeballs to max out my fatalism glaive but oh well
I just started MH4 a couple of weeks ago, give me few years for complete at least the default contenent before releasing more DLC!!!
@BakaKnight I got Monster Hunter 4U shortly after it came out, and I honestly don't know how people have gotten even close to being able to deal with this content. All I want is that Hero's bow and I still don't have it.
Still, incredible game, and it has more hours logged than any other game I have, though XBC is fast approaching.
@earthboundlink
I just got to Grank with 300 hours yesterday but I make a lot of armor and weapons at each level and have to solo an online quest before I will do it with someone else.
Time to get that White Fatalis LS...
Hooray! Legit White Fatalis!
@JaxonH The White Fatalis Quest is G-Rank.
I should probably start getting some more armor spheres for my Star Knight Armor since I doubt I'd do much against White Fatalis with the Seregios LBG.
@Wouwter meh. Hard to complain about free dlc
@brandonA I can do it though. A lot of the free DLC should have been in the game from the start (like G-rank Gold Rathian, Silver Rathalos, Fatalis, Dalamadur, Savage Deviljho). It's like in Splatoon where a lot of content seems to have been cut to make people happy with "free" DLC, but in this case it actually hinders you in the game. I couldn't upgrade my fire charge blades until the metal Raths appeared last month. I had to wait almost half a year for that.
Don't get me wrong, I love this game, but this DLC isn't all it's cracked up to be.
I'm a terrible Player at monster hunter. I try and try and no matter what I do I can never finish these download Quests. I will download these too but will probably never finish them. I have never been able to fully grasp Monster Hunnters play. I get so frustrated with the game. I guess I prefer a more Laid back Phantasy Star Online type of experience. Can't wait for Final Fantasy Explorers. I have never beat a downloaded Quest ever on monster hunter which is sad. I have been playing it since it came out on PS2 and played the Wii and Wii-U versions. I'm just terrible.
@heyzeus002 wow I still find Monster Hunter to be very hard and frustrating. I'm a horrible Monster Hunter.....sadface
