With its release not due until 2nd May, Nintendo has other fish to fry at the current time with its marketing efforts, but we should perhaps be paying a little more attention to Mario Golf: World Tour. With Camelot on development duties and encouraging details such as online multiplayer with Mario Kart 7-style communities, Mii Customisation and more, it's shaping up to be an interesting title.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, too, which is certainly applicable due to the delays this game has faced coming to release; it heads onto the course with a small number of much-loved predecessors with which to compete, too. Yet still, Nintendo's reveal last week of the underwater Cheep Cheep Lagoon course showed that this game won't be lacking a dose of Mario-style madness. It's safe to say that isn't a course that can be recreated in real life.
Thankfully Nintendo has now followed up with a video to show us how it'll work, with Daisy taking the starring role this time around. Check out the footage below and let us know what you think.

I hope it has a reasonable amount of options for the online. (More importantly I hope there is extreme penalties for deliberately disconnecting all the time).
@unrandomsam Yeah, those are so annoying. Some people can't just accept a loss...
I really can't wait for this one. It's been too long since we had a Mario Golf game.
We need this on the Wii U , I'm a big fan of Mario Golf , so C,mon Nintendo whataya waiting for !!
@Pichubby Lots of stuff that could make this really annoying. Make a bad shot flick the wifi off and get to take it again after reconnecting. Disconnect after 16 holes. They always seem to trust peoples good nature but on Nintendo systems there seems to be none.
@unrandomsam Agreed.
Edit: Makes me wish Nintendo never put the wire communication switch on the side. I experienced a lot of rage quits in Mario Tennis Open.
Shine on you Daisy Diamond! Looking forward to this one.
Well the video didn't show anything majorly exciting but it still looks like a cool concept and twist on the gameplay...I absolutely loved Toadstool Tour on the Gamecube so I can't wait for this game to come out...I've been looking forward to it since the day it was announced last year and will be buying it on its release day
Hopefully the 'gimmick' courses like this are kept to a minimum. I just want to play a normal game of golf (as normal as the prior games were) not one with giant obstacles in the air and pipes that boost your shots.
Looks very unique, can't wait.
(In Squidward voice) I HATE water levels!
Wow Daisy gets all creepy eye at the end there.
Nice to see Daisy getting some love and attention here. Like the animation too but Daisy, I don't think that pose suits you.
I wonder if you hit it in the mouth would it die and ball would not lose momentum. The purple spiked thing that is.
Just one quick question:
Where would the "Water Hazards" be in an underwater golf course?
Actually looking pretty good.
looks really nice =)
Yikes. If I was Daisy's PR guy, and I am, I'd be gravely unhappy about that final image.
omg omg omg omg........

50 minutes TO GO!!!
Why why why is mario golf not on Wii u .
I hope they market this better that Mario Tennis Open, that game was so unheard of and took me a while to discover. This may be my only 3ds purchase, as I'm getting SSB on Wii U.
This one's fore me.
@unrandomsam yeah I hope people will be good sports and stay connected. 18 holes of golf will still take over an hour. nothing worse than people quitting on you. maybe they should do online like pangya. you would have about 15 people playing and also offer an incentive for finishing win or lose.
Mario Sports games is what Nintendo has Camelot pumping out one after the other instead of making another Golden Sun game.
Thanks for that Nintendo.

Yay! Mario can breathe underwater again! Or maybe he just has coins on tap in his veins dripping a steady supply of his winnings to keep him alive!
They are seriously running out of ideas with this one.
Better not be like Mario tennis. It was fun, but online got old quick
@LoBo
I'm sure we'll see a Mario Golf U in due time. For now, let's enjoy what we have here!
This is lookin good. I'm excited for it, but not as excited as I am for Kirby Triple Deluxe. THAT game looks good.
@JaxonH I don't own a 3ds .
@DarkKirby I never got to watch "K-On!", mainly because I don't like Slice of Life.
Looks good, and nice Super mario bros underwater remix!
