It seems that Nintendo is rather busy with maintenance at the moment, with Nintendo of Europe now confirming some upcoming disruption to Club Nintendo. No specific time frames are given, just an apology for anticipated patches of downtime on 11th March; perhaps some changes are on the way to the website, or it could be behind-the-scenes work that doesn't affect the user experience.
The tweet confirming the maintenance is below, though it gives no indication of what changes (if any) are coming.
Club Nintendo has seemingly remained unchanged for a fairly lengthy period in Europe, at least, albeit with new products being added at some points. There's no indication whether Nintendo of America is lining up similar work too, though of course we have extended Nintendo Network maintenance in all territories coming on 13th March.

I really hope that this maintenance comes with some exciting news.
I'm more concerned with the lack of the Thursday Download list. It is usually up by now and could indicate that Nintendo are indeed planning something quite big.
@Kiz3000
It was a day late last week so I wouldn't take that as a sign.
@cookiex It was a day late last week due to a bank holiday in Germany. That is not the case this week (at least I don't think there is)
US Club Nintendo rewards haven't updated yet - which was good b/c I forgot to get SMRPG for 200 points - but they are almost always a day late anyway.
Now I need to decide whether to redeem the code on the Wii in the bedroom or the Wii U in the basement.
@Baum897
That is what NL said about it last Tuesday:
"A day later than normal — probably due to a public Holiday in Nintendo of Europe's homeland in Germany — we now have details of what will be gracing the Nintendo download platforms this week."

I received a Nintendo newsletter on Friday 7th March, part of which said, 'The stars catalogue is available once more - Check out it's new look now! Clicked on the link and everything was the same. Maybe that email was sent early by mistake
Still sucks that Club Nintendo doesn't exist in Europe if you don't count the few countries it is in like Germany and UK.
All those points cards and nothing to use those for and certain people in certain countries get all kinds of extra gadgets.
@Baum897 It was carnival... You know all those people getting drunk and wearing lame costumes... It's no "real" holiday but some businesses were closed in Germany. As for today there is definately none here in Germany, even no semi-one like last week.
I really hope this means the UK Stars Catalogue becomes more like the US coins system. The gold and platinum rewards setup looks great.
Man, with all of this maintence and the new Yoshi coming out on the 14th, I'm starting to wonder if a Direct is coming. A last second Direct to build some Yoshi hype makes sense, and hopefully there's something to announce related to all of this downtime as well.
@dandantheman100 It's said that on the newsletters for a while now.
Please be something worthwhile as I have just under 6000 stars!
Let's hope this improves the website it is so slow and boring it needs improvment
FORESHADOWING. Maybe...
Okay, this sounds like major server upgrades to me. They turn off all of theirvonline services for maintenance in a matter of three days, and they occurvat rather unusual times - I suspect Nintendo to exchange or upgrade their servers to keep their online stable (and maybe prepare it for MK8 test runs + release).
So excited to see what the outcome of all of this will be!
As much as I hope for eShop credit to be added (not really, the UK site will once again forget they serve Ireland too and leave Irish people getting £ they can't spend) I have a feeling it will nothing like that last one was.
I do have 300 stars expiring so I guess I could hope for card case 18 to come back in stock again.
Would be nice to see the post play surveys return for WiiWare and DSiWare though (not all of these seem to track anymore but the surveys were removed when the eShop surveys came live, about 2 years ago, they said it was temporary so I left about 20 WiiWare surveys to do...)
about time they fix up the website and the glitches!
Finally! Things like the public profile, wish list, game feeds and all that have been down for wááááááááááy too long! It's about time they fixed that!... assuming they will do that now... :-/
