Goodbye Galaxy Games — the studio responsible for DSiWare titles Color Commando, Flipper and Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish — has announced its first 3DS eShop release.
Tappingo is described by Goodbye Galaxy Games founder Hugo Smits as being "like Picross, but with a totally different gameplay mechanic".
There's no solid release date yet, but CIRCLE Entertainment will be handling the publishing duties. Excited? Drop a comment to let us know.

May pick this up as long as there is an editor and a way to share levels online
Developers can self-publish, so why is Goodbye Galaxy Games asking Circle Entertainment to do it? Strange, but anyways, if it gets a good review, then Ill check it out!
look very good
Please please please. I miss Picross so much. The 'E' entries I skipped, I want more than 15x15 puzzles.
Intriguing. Me like Picross.
"Like Picross, but totally different." Then how is it like it at all? That description was meaningless. :/
@ngamer155 Publishing internationally costs a lot of money, and iirc Goodbye Galaxy's self published games didn't go worldwide. Circle actually has a great track record for international publishing
EDIT: I remembered wrong, Goodbye Galaxy never self published, but they did work with less reliable publishers before.
@Stuffgamer1 You solve little pixilated puzzles just like in Picross, you progress through the game in the same manner as Picross. But you solve them with a different mechanic.
@ngamer155 Self publishing is a very difficult thing for indies. You need to write/create an e-manual, you need translations, you need to deal with age-ratings,etc. All things that keep me away from actual game design and programming.
Circle takes care of all that. Plus they can get me an advance on royalties so I can pay my artists.
Also if you want to publish your games in Japan, you need an office there. Which I obviously don’t have. And it’s just nice the bounce ideas of them and let them beta-test my games.
@HugoSmits: Well, given the actual gameplay mechanic is the IMPORTANT part, you still really haven't told me anything to get me excited for the game. I'd be psyched if you were doing some weird take on Picross like Color Cross did, but I simply don't have enough information to care about your game yet. Hope you understand.
The screenshots look promising. A new twist on Picross is something that i'll always look forward to.
@Stuffgamer1 please check out the official site for the game over at:

It explains the gameplay, even has a visual example
@HugoSmits: I see...honestly I don't think the Picross comparison is necessarily accurate. It does appear to be a picture logic puzzle, though, and I'd say it has potential. Congratulations, you've got my attention now.
I was interested until I heard Circle... but since its not directly from them, I'll still give it a look when it comes out. The website description has me interested. And yeah the cute monster things too.
Good luck and hope to see it soon!
