Earlier in the week we reported that Mutant Mudds Deluxe was in the final stages of development and would hopefully be on its way to Nintendo of America for a check-up very soon.
Well, Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham has taken to Twitter to reveal the game has now been submitted and that it is on target for a June release should all go well:

Mutant Mudds Deluxe is an expanded version of the 3DS edition and features all the main levels found in Mutant Mudds as well as the free "Granny" DLC. There are also 20 new ghost-themed stages added to the mix and there will be checkpoints thrown in for good measure to make life a little bit easier. Of course, the whole thing will be in HD.
With it being submitted to Nintendo of America it is likely that it will be released there first and will then cross the pond to Europe. Mutant Mudds took five months to make the trip over - hopefully Europeans won't have to wait that long.
Watsham said he'd have more news on the European submission soon.

It is one of my favorite 3DS games. I finished every single level and loved it. But I don't know if I am willing to buy it again to play 20 new levels...
I've played through the 3DS version five times now, and I'm still looking forward to getting the Deluxe version. I just like the idea of being able to play this game on a big HDTV. Plus, those 20 new levels are a nice bonus.
Hmmm, I haven't played it yet on the 3DS. Is it better to play it in 3D, or HD with extra levels?
I don't want to buy the same thing again just to play (all over again) in (pixellated) 1080p and with 1/3 extra content. So, as much as i liked the original, no thanks.
@Wilford111 ...Is that a serious question?
HD, of course.
What is the price tag? I'll probably buy it just because i'd like to support such an awesome platformer. Really enjoyed it on the 3DS.
@Wilford111 Are you serious?, HD w/extra content.
I'm still trying to decide whether I'll get it for the exta levels. I have the 3DS version, and I'm not sure the Wii U version is really worth another buy.
Have yet to play the 3ds version, though I am planning on picking it up sometime in the future. Also, am I the only who would rather have 3d instead of HD? I just prefer the way games look in 3d, and after using the feature for so long, I really don't want to go back to 2d.
Oh my god, checkpoints. Thank you! I love the game, but it tests my patience.
I haven't gotten around to getting it yet, so this is good news for me.
Checkpoints? Are they optional? It wasn't really that difficult till the end. I wonder if the new levels are worth re-buying it...
