Konami has been fairly adamant that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 isn't coming to the Wii U, thanks simply to a lack of available resource and time.
This is perfectly understandable; developer Mercury Steam has only just finished work on the 3DS title Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, and has its hands full developing Lords of Shadow 2 for the 360 and PS3. There's only so much one studio can do, after all.
However, producer Dave Cox has always been very keen to stress that the lack of a Wii U version isn't to be taken as a snub to Nintendo fans, and in an exclusive interview with Nintendo Life, he revealed that he's refusing to rule it out entirely.
Nintendo Life: Castlevania has a long and proud association with Nintendo systems - you've stated that Lords of Shadow 2 is out of the question due to time and resource constraints, but are there any plans whatsoever for the instalment on Wii U?
Dave Cox: No plans for those very reasons, but I wouldn't rule it out completely.
While Cox has clearly stopped well short of saying the game is definitely coming to the Wii U, it's positive that he won't say categorically that it's not going to happen. Hopefully Mirror of Fate will be such a commercial success that Konami will see the benefit of giving Nintendo fans the next chapter in the Lords of Shadow series on their home consoles, too.
The full interview with Dave Cox will be published on this very site later today, and don't forget that we're currently running a UK competition to win a copy of Mirror of Fate and poster signed by Cox himself.

Don't play with my heart, Konami! ~_~
please do it, if you guys really quit makeing castlevanias make sure that all got a chance to play last game from you..
I wish they port the game over, but even if the Wii U doesn't get this game, a lot of people forget the games we are getting on Wii U. Especially in the RPG front from Nintendo.
I wouldn't say no to a Wii U release,I hope it comes one fine day.
This again?!
Let it go guys, stop tormenting Wii U owners. Sorry to be a downer, but im tired of this "um.....ahhh" attitude of 3rd party devs & Wii U. These guys are serial offenders now!
I bet they are waiting for the 3DS sales of Castlevania. Please Konami, make it happen.
Please decide already!
>Yes
No
Castlevania has always got good reputation on Nintendo systems so ruling out a Nintendo console is not something Konami would ignore. It was a mistake for them to ignore the GameCube but then again the console Castlevania games during that era were not as good.
@FuriousFrancis: I really want that Castlevania for WiiU. Either way I won't be getting ANY of those RPGs. Simply haven't got the time for them. And I never finish them either. I always get bored of those J-RPGs, they always gets samey and tiresome after some hours play. That's just IMHO - I respect that others love 'em - I just played enough of them on SNES and PSX, guess I'm just getting old.
Would be great to have this game on Wii U (^_^)
it would be Nice to have this and the first on the WiiU Castlevania just feels at home on a Nintendo console but i'm not holding my breath for them to come to the WiiU but it would be a nice surprise
I'm just glad they didn't give a silly reason for not putting it on the Wii U. Their reasoning is understandable and I hope we get this game on Wii U in due time.
Give it up Konami, you know it isn't coming to the Wii U. Please stop giving players false hope.
no thx.
